Beginning a Brand-New Game in Genshin Impact
If you are starting a new game file in Genshin Impact, you must progress through the storyline, following the initial tutorials to understand the game’s mechanics. Apart from this, you will earn Adventure experience points that will increase your level up to level 7. Overall, you will reach this level once you have obtained the initial characters you will start with.
Those characters include Noelle, Main Character, Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa. An essential item that will help you increase your Adventure Rank as quickly as possible is a 4-star weapon. If you haven’t obtained one yet, do not worry. Around Adventure Rank 10, 4-star weapons will be easier for you to receive as rewards in some missions during early gameplay.
Reaching Town
Once you have increased your Adventure Rank to level 7 and reached the town, you must find your way to Katheryne, the Adventurer’s Guild’s receptionist. She will explain to you the benefits of being a member of the Adventurer’s Guild and explaining the Adventure Rank. Apart from this, you will enable the game to award certain rank rewards as you level up.
You will receive essential items, like Summons and Primogems, the in-game currency of Genshin Impact. There are other items that you receive as well, such as turkey, feathers, and gold. Upon reaching Adventure Rank, you will receive a 4-star sword as a reward from the Adventurer’s Guild.
Once you have finished talking to her and collected all of your rewards available at that moment, Katheryne will bestow to you the Adventurer’s Handbook. This contains a record of all the commissions and rewards available to you after doing certain missions. When you receive the Handbook for the first time, a new icon, shaped like a booklet, will appear on the top-right corner of your screen.
When you open it, it will display a series of missions to do that will reward you with Adventure experience points, apart from other items, like gold, herbs, primogems, and more. Therefore, following this booklet will help you increase your Adventure Rank in a faster manner. Most missions are fairly simple and involve doing tasks that you will normally do when progressing through the storyline. These tasks include visiting the Statue of the Seven, activating teleport waypoints, opening chests, etc. As you can see, these missions can roughly take you minutes to complete.
Once you have completed the Chapter, you will receive an additional reward and then take you to the next chapter, which contains a new set of missions or tasks.
Enhancing your Attack Stat
As said previously, you need to obtain a 4-start weapon for your Main Character. You obtain one upon reaching Adventure Rank 10, but you can also enhance a 1-star or 2-star weapon and upgrade it to a 4-star rank. You will find a lot of trash items that you can utilize to power up your weapons. Therefore, it will not be hard to enhance a weapon to a 4-star rank.
The importance of having a 4-star weapon comes from the fact that it will boost your character’s base Attack. Initially, this Attack boost will be huge, and the Attack stat is the most critical Stat for a starting player. It will help you inflict more damage and be more effective in battles during early gameplay.
As you continue to progress through Genshin Impact, you will obtain better equipment and gear to enhance your other stats, like HP, Defense, and Stamina. But the essential one at the beginning is your Attack Stat.
You can also increase your Attack stat by leveling your character’s level, which is where your Experience cards come into play. You can use the exp cards to increase your character’s max level, which is level 20. Unfortunately, level 20 is the maximum level available to you. However, when you have reached level 15, you can boost further your character’s level.
Ley Lines
Now that you have a 4-star weapon and your character is at level 20, you can now progress to the next point, Ley Lines. Ley Lines are mini-dungeons that you can complete in the open world. Most of them allow you to fight a couple of monster waves and receive gold and character exp cards. It is recommended to do these dungeons early because there aren’t any other dungeons available at this point in the game. This will help you increase your Adventure Rank from level 10.
However, you must understand that you will use a resource called Resin to engage in the Ley Lines. Resin is a rechargeable resource that appears in your screen’s top-right corner when you display the World Map. Overall, you obtain one Resin every 8 minutes or so if you use it. Additionally, another item called Fragile Resin allows you to fill up your Resin bar once again. You can also use Primogems to fill up your Resin, but it is only available to you six times a day.
However, it is recommended to save this Fragile Resin because they are quite rare and help you raise your Adventure Rank after level 20 when it becomes your main method to increase your Rank.
When you complete a monster wave, a Ley Line Blossom will appear, and it requires 20 Original Resin to claim the reward. You will be able to complete these monster waves faster with your enhanced Attack stat. Apart from the rewards mentioned, you also receive Adventure experience points.
You will want your Resin to be continuously filling up because this awards Adventure points as well. Therefore, you should always use your Resin when it is filled up so you can engage in Ley Lines and gain experience.
