Installing and Reroll Guide

**IMPORTANT**

The game can be installed by downloading through Google Play, iOS appstore, or an apk. Depending on what region your google play is in and where you live will determine what server you are on. You can force the game to join a different server when creating your account by using a VPN connected to the region of your choice.

Reroll Objectives

The point of Rerolling is to get certain Nat5’s (natural born 5 star units) that will help speed up your progression due to how strong they are. The game however is very generous so it’s not necessary to reroll. Many of us did not reroll and now have all the meta units in game. Patience is key 🙂 Starting the game with these stronger units though just makes life easier and progression quicker.

Notable Units

Obtaining any 1 of these units will provide you with a great start. They are in no particular order.

-Rock Benito

-Rock Julian

-Paper Kur

-Paper Fransica

-Paper Adonis

-Scissors Carlotta

There is no reason to reroll beyond getting 1 of these units as the game is very generous and will give you plenty of rubies to keep summoning units

Reroll Process

Follow these steps to reroll your account and create a new one

FOR ANDROID

  1. Install the game and create a new account (use VPN if you need specific region)
  2. DO NOT link this account with google or facebook. Simply click out of the prompt and click “connect”
  3. Play through the tutorial up until stage 3 of the PVE dungeon. At stage 3 you can exit out of the dungeon
  4. Collect your 3500 Ruby reward from inbox
  5. Summon using the 3500 ruby reward using the “Multi” summon option. You have the choice of what banner to summon on. Always choose one of the recommended units if that banner is available.
  6. Close application if you didn’t get the unit you wanted or one of the recommended units. Link to FB or Google if you did get the right units.

NEXT STEP: For those who did not get the unit they wanted
  7. Open your device file manager or folder explorator
  8. Go to: data > data > com.netmarble.destiny
Rename com.netmarble.destiny into whatever you want.
  9. Clear Destin Knights cache by going to:
Setting > apps > Destiny Knights > storage > clear data
  10. Rename com.netmarble.destiny folder back to default name
  11. Launch the game and repeat steps 1-10 until you get the units you want

FOR iOS

  1. Follow steps 1-6. Afterwards you must uninstall the entire game and reinstall in order to make new account

Starting the Game // First Steps

Tutorial and Tome of Prophecies

Your first objective is to follow the tutorial step-by-step as this will teach you the progression of the game. Outside of the tutorial you will want to follow each quest in order in Tome of Prophecies. Doing this in the correct order will let you collect many rewards.

Note: You will receive Scissors Eve and Gilbert for free after clearing Medina Normal and Hard respectively. Eve is great as a striker.

Game Mechanics

Hero Elements: Instead of traditional elements, this game uses the Rock, Paper, Scissors system. The element relationship is Rock > Paper > Scissors > Paper.

It is very important to set your LEADER to the element that is strong against the team (PVE or PVP) that you will be fighting. Only the leader matters for determining how much damage you receive. Every other unit uses their OWN element type for determining how much damage they deal.

Hero Skills: Each hero has two skills, a leader passive, and then a striker skill. There are two types of skills, normal skills and break skills. Break skill are used to “break” the boss when he activates a red circle that counts down quickly like a clock. Break Skills are always RED color. The Striker skill is only used when that hero is in the striker position. It activates the full potential of the skill after charging, but you will not see the hero on the team.

Hero Teams: Each team consists of four heros, three on the main team, and one striker. The Leader of your team and the Striker will both utilize their Leader Skill. You cannot use duplicates of any unit on the same team EXCEPT for during Single and Double Pair Special Arena.

Adventure

The main PVE content is located in the area called ADVENTURE. In here there are many different zone to complete. The main dungeons have 4 difficulties: Normal > Hard > Hell > Nightmare.  You must complete them in order. When you complete any dungeon you will generate “stars”. Try to achieve all 3 stars on every stage for additional rewards as well as unlocking “conquerors effect” which will boost your teams damage as well as reduce the damage you take for any future runs of that dungeon. These dungeons are where you will farm ORBS

Located also within ADVENTURE is a tab called Crosic. This is where you can farm awakening mats, crests, and material monsters such as evolved ragoon and enhanced ragoon. These dungeons have limits but can be reset with the use of rubies.

Arena

This tab takes you to the main PVP area. Here there are two main arenas you can participate in. ARENA and SPECIAL ARENA

In normal Arena there are no rules except no duplicate units (same type and element)

In Special Arena the rules change weekly. Make sure to read the tooltip to understand what this week’s arena requirements are.

Summoning

The summoning tab take you to where you can get new units/heros. It is usually recommended to summon from a banner that increases the rate of a unit. These banners use Rubies to summon. It is ALWAYS best to summon using the x10 multi as it will always give you at least one Nat 4.

Other ways to summon are by using scrolls or hero pieces. Some scrolls include:
Legendary scroll, 2-4* scroll, 1-3* scroll, Evolved Ragoon scroll, 4-5* Evolved ragoon scroll, Skilled Ragoon scroll

Managing Resources // Farming

Rubies

Rubies are the main currency in game used for summoning, resetting dungeons and rerolling orb stats. There are many ways to get rubies. The easiest is to make sure to do all daily quests, dungeon dailies, and events. The game will give you a ridiculous amount of rubies.

Other ways to generate rubies are by awakening your heroes. Depending on what star 1-6 you awaken you can get rubies for that unit from the CODEX.

Rubies can also be obtained from weekly rewards in Arena and Faction Boss. Make sure to do these daily!

Jacks Puzzle and Carlos Trial can also give sizeable amounts of rubies. These are minigames located in the ADVENTURE mode

Gold

Gold is the main currency used for enhancing units, evolving units, leveling orbs, etc. You can earn gold by farming dungeons in ADVENTURE. The best way to get gold though is to farm during bonus gold time. This bonus time is always during the last hours before server reset.

Tower Of Promises also can give you a lot of gold. Work on progressing to floor 60 and then repeat that floor everyday as often as you can for a free 40k gold per time.

Avoid wasting gold you earn on things in the TIME SHOP. It may be tempting but all of your gold should go into enhancing your units and orbs.

Improving Your Units

Enhancing and Evolving

In order to improve your units you will need to get the 6*. You can do this by leveling the unit to max level and then evolve it using the same number of fodder as you have stars. For example: 5* hero needs max lvl and then 5 5* fodder to evolve to 6*

Enhanced Ragoons provide a lot of experience vs using dungeon experience to level units. Using enhanced Ragoons of the same element will also give bonus exp.

Evolved ragoons must be fed into the same element unit that they are.
For example: 3 3* rock ragoons can only be fed into a 3* rock unit

For all other units/heroes you don’t need to be the same element to feed and evolve them. You will want to use all 3* fodder heroes for making as many 6* units as you can.

Awakening

Another way to improve your units is by Awakening them, which is adding Purple Stars. In order to awaken you will need awakening materials. These can be farmed from the CROSIC or from Jacks Puzzle. In order to get Nat 5 units 3* and 6* awakened you will need Legendary Awakening Mats. This material is VERY rare. The only way to obtain this is by 6* a new unit (you get 1 time reward of 1 legend mat per unit) and spending 7000 faction boss points in Faction shop for 1 legend mat.

DO NOT use these lightly. They are hard to come by so make sure to invest them only in your most used units.

The main benefit of awakening is it increases your heroes stats AND allows you to equip CRESTS which are the 2nd four slots on your hero. Just like orbs they will boost your heroes stats.

Orbs and Crests

Orbs and Crests are the main stat boosters for your heroes/units. You want to equip orbs and crests that benefit your units primary stats. So for attackers Braver and Concentration Orb sets are recommended. For Defense type units, Iron wall. And etc. Here is a full list of available Orb and Crest sets.

FOR ORBS
Vitality: HP +5% max hp for each set of 2 equipped

Bravery: ATK +5% atk for each set of 2 equipped

Iron Wall: DEF + 10% def for each set of 2 equipped
Concentration: CRIT +5% crit rate for each set of 2 equipped

Punishment: CRIT DMG +10% crit dmg for each set of 2 equipped (not recommended ever)

FOR CRESTS

Grit: +5% Skill Cooldown for each set of 2 equipped (highly recommended)

Resistance: +5% Status Resistance for each set of 2 equipped

Precision: +5% Status Activation for each set of 2 equipped

Persistence: +10% Debuff Duration for each set of 2 equipped

Upgrading the orbs/crests gives you additional substats. For a comparison of Flat vs % substats go here. Recommended Orb/Crest list is here

Titles

Titles are equipped and further increase your hero/units stats. They are very important so do not neglect them. They can be earned through Achievements or through rewards.

Skill ups

Skilling up units will greatly improve their skills dmg, utility and cooldowns. The only two ways to level skills is by feeding Skilled Ragoons or duplicate units in the the “SKILL ENHANCE” tab on your unit.

Skilled Raggon are VERY rare so make sure to use them with caution. They can be farmed/earned by spending points in arena and guild conquest. You can only purchase 1 per week from each source.

Another way to get Skilled Ragoons is to max awaken (purple star) Nat4 and Nat5 units. You can obtain 1 skilled ragoon per unique hero, 1 time.

Important Tips/Questions

What to do with dupes?

You can use dupe Nat 5’s for 3 things.

1) Evolving your other Nat 5’s to 6 star (Not Recommended!).

2) Leveling up your Nat 5’s skills.

3) As a second team in guild conquest. For example: If you use P. Fransisca in your first guild conquest fight, you can use your dupe P. Fransisca in the next guild conquest fight.

Note: I do not consider Nat 5’s of different types to be dupes. For example: P. Fransisca and R. Fransisca are not dupes of each other (even though you can’t use both on same team).

What to do with Skilled Ragoons?

This is the most valuable ragoon. You can use the skilled ragoon to level up the skills of any monster in the game. I recommend using these sparingly and primarily on nat 5 monsters. The number of skilled ragoons it takes to level up a skill varies based on the skill level. At level 1, a skill requires one skilled ragoon to get to level 2. At level 2, a skill requires two skilled ragoons to get to level 3, etc.

Jacks Festival?

This event can give you lots of mats and keys. It does cost gold to reset but can be worth it depending on the mats you get. Here are a list of valuable mats from the puzzle game.

Excellent Awakening Mats, Nat4 pieces, Rubies

Most of the options will have Shop coins and Adventure keys. These are great resources to help you continuously farm dungeons.

Should I summon?

Unless you have have every unit in the game then yes! It’s always best to use rubies for Multi summons

What orbs should I use?

Following the Hero/unit primary stat is usually the best route for choosing orbs. As for what Orb substats to use, looking at other players builds in arena ranking list is a good place to start.

Black Market – Time Shop?

Avoid purchasing anything from the time shop as it’s not the most efficient use of gold.

The Black Market (BM) can have some great items. Always buy adventure and arena keys if you can. Mid-late game it can also be worth buying Skilled Ragoons for 3k rubies. If you are hunting a particular unit and can’t seem to summon it. Sometimes they will show up in the BM for 8k rubies. This is ONLY worth it if the unit is extreme meta, such as S Carlota, R Jun, S Elke, R cesar, or R benito.
