Arknights Leizi Operator Guide

Leizi is a 5-star Chain Caster. Her Attacks deal Arts damage to be useful against enemies with high Defense and low Arts Resist. Being a Chain Caster, her Attacks also jump to 3 other enemies nearby at Elite 0 and Elite 1. That number is raised to 4 at Elite 2. Each attack also has a slowing effect on the enemies, making them more vulnerable to all your other units’ attacks. However, the damage dealt by Leizi’s attacks decreases by 25% for every enemy it jumps to.

Talent

Her sole talent is Unobstructed Flow, which increases her attack against unblocked enemies. The attack is scaled up by 10% at Elite 1 and by 20% at Elite 2.

Skills

ATK Up

This skill is an attack buff that lasts for 30 seconds. Her attack is raised by 30% at Level 1. At Maximum Mastery, her attack is raised by 100%, and the cooldown is only 30 seconds. This skill provides consistent Damage per Second, so if waves of enemies are frequent, this will come in very handy.

Thunderclap

This is objectively the better skill between the two as it deals huge AoE damage, and its duration is 30 seconds. Her attack is raised by 60% at Level 1 and by 150% at Maximum Mastery. The damage dealt with all enemies it jumps to is no longer reduced to top it all off. This is especially useful in stages with waves of enemies that are not immediately activated. Leizi can preemptively deal damage or even kill the enemies before they get the chance to move.

Base Skills

  • Picky – The chances of getting Clues from each Operator’s faction is slightly increased when Leizi is assigned to the Control Center. However, this also slightly increases the Morale consumption of the Operators with her in the Control Center.
  • Discernment – This skill is similar to picky, except the Morale consumption of the Operators does not increase.

Verdict

Leizi would do very well with a crowd-control squad. Her attack slows down waves of enemies and could deal with AoE damage. This means she would benefit the team greatly if another Support Operator like Saria is deployed to buff Leizi’s Attack.

Just remember Leizi is still a Chain Caster and not an AoE Caster. If Thunderclap is not activated, her attack will have reduced damage against enemies. She sits in the middle-ground between Single-Target and AoE Casters, but her attack is lower than either of those classes. This makes her Deployment cost, which is almost as high as AoE Casters, a considerable disadvantage.

Overall, an AoE Caster may be a better choice if you have them. If you have good support that can buff her Attacks, though, Leizi could annihilate dense waves of enemies, so you might still want to reconsider excluding her from your squad.
