Part 1:  Passive Summary

  • The BiS artifact passives are decided based on the character and their kit alone. It does not take into account any specific team composition.
  • If a character needs to unequip certain passives to make room for extra cp, please see our next table for a list of less useful passives, and use that in conjunction with our character-specific “To Remove” passives included in this summary
  • Bold: See Part 2 of this guide for additional notes on this passive

1. Warrior of Light,

[ Initial Brv + 170 , Class Change Boost ★★ , Attack +108 ]

  • Initial Brv 170 is very important for WoL because many of his skills, especially the strength of his shield, depends on Initial Brv.  Maximizing WoL’s Int. Brv raises his effectiveness in tanking, battery and some offensive capabilities.
  • Class Change Boost ★★ is still a decent choice for WoL, particularly for single-wave stages – since he’s a tank with ability to taunt, he can make use the normally “useless’ stat such as DEF, and with his healing ability from his EX weapon, Class Change can be consistently activated at final wave for him to be ready to nullify any threat the final boss(es) might have.
  • Unless WoL has a battery in his team he won’t cap much, which is why Attack is the 3rd option for now and it will be more important for future events like Chaos, switch between Max Brave and Attack for now at your discretion.
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense if HP is Max when the final battle starts (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

2. Vivi

[ Buff Attack Speed, Fire Charge ★★, Attack +108]

  • One of the 6 characters with “cursed” eidoja passives.  One of the two “cursed” passives is so strong that these characters need three copies of the passive to reach their full potential.  Note: due to the dilution of their orange passives, the new passive drops only at 1/11 orange passives compared to 1/9 in a normal character without the “cursed” passives…Good luck hunting these!
  • Vivi’s unique artifacts are stronger than the normal ones and as such, have a bigger impact on his kit. Ideally, he would have three Buff Attack Speed passives coupled with a mix of attack and Fire charge.
  • Buff Attack Speed raised Attack by 20%, and Speed by 10%. Triple BiS would give a total of 60% Attack and 30% Speed.

3. Rem

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 ]

  • Max brave +330 as she gains brave when using swap turns. Also, the brave gained from swap turn scales with attack power with clvl 60 Swap Turns Extend which also at the same time after using Swap Turns, HP Attack turns to HP Attack+ for 5 turns.
  • Attack power is raised when her HP is over 50% so make sure to stay above this threshold as long as you can.
  • Cure also scales with attack power for more healing.
  • Max brave +330 also helps to avoid brave overflow from brave gain from using swap turn on teammates who could potentially break a target for break bonus brave gain to the entire party.

4. Sazh

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Buffed attack ★★ ]

  • Buffed attack ★★ raises attack by 5% while buffed which is good as it synergies Attack +108 with ability Attack boost which grants Sazh 2 turn moderate attack up and moderate critical hit rate up.
  • Most of his ability, weapon affinity and passives synergizes with attack power such as :
    • 15cp weapon extends Attack Up’s duration.
    • Clvl 5 slightly raises Attack for 3 turns when the battle starts.

5. Tifa

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330, Mighty Beat Rush★★ ]

  • Attack +108 due to Battle cry brave gain scale with attack power.
  • Max brave +330 go well with her clvl 50 Break Fever grants a Small Max BRV Up buff for 3 turns after breaking an enemy, using Battle cry Self: BRV x2 to avoid brave overflow
  • C50 Slightly raises Max BRV for 3 turns after breaking an enemy (10% base, +5% per artifact)

6. Cloud

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330, Debuff Attack Up ★★]

  • Try to get triple ATK+108 / MBrv+330 to maximize Cloud’s damage potential.
  • Beside atk/mbrv, Debuff Attack Up ★★ and Mighty <X> are next tier passives – note that Cloud himself lacks consistent method of applying debuffs (only a single turn paralysis, and an inconsistent DEF down), consider pairing him with a debuffer if you have multiple Debuff Attack Up★★; or else, go with Mighty <X>.
  • Mighty cross slash ★★ slightly better than Mighty finishing touch ★★ due to Cross slash having more usage meaning more damage output and paralysis chance.

7. Hope

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 ]

8. Y’shtola

[ Max brave +330 , Initial brave +170 , Attack +108  ]

  • Max brave +330 and initial brave +170 to min – max Medica ll to supply more brave to the party.
    • Very niche choice but Brave initiative ★★ raises Speed by 5% when BRV is over 50% Max brave which also synergize with her clvl 54 BRV Guard Up which slightly raises Defense Power when BRV is over 50% making her much faster and sturdy support.
    • BRV initiate is very niche and can be useful at the same time in situation when she is maxed brave and ready to put out lots of brave from medica ll for party but usually get outspeed by speedy characters like tidus, prishe, lightning and zidane who always cut que going in front therefore it helps her in this situation and again, at the same time it synergize with her clvl54 BRV Guard Up which Slightly raises Defense Power when BRV is over 50% basically killing two birds with one stone.

9. Zidane

[ Attack +108 ,  Max brave +330 , Mighty <X>★★ ]

  • Attack +108 to help brv shave with Stellar Circle 5, and gain brv with Free Energy. Max Brave +330 to make sure he doesn’t leak brv.

10. Dark Cecil

[ Attack +108 ,  Max brave +330 , Mighty <X>★★ ]

11. Yda

[ Attack +108, Max brave +330, Mighty <X>★★ ]

  • Max brave +330 due to clvl 40 Break Bonus Up slightly raises Break Bonus earned after breaking an enemy and clvl 54 Buff Boost slightly increases Max BRV while buffed.
  • Max brave also pairs well with Attack +108 for more dps and they synergize with clvl 15 Buff Attack Up slightly raises Attack Power while buffed, clvl 50 Greased Lightning slightly raises Attack and Speed for 4 turns when the battle starts.

12. Vaan

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330, Mighty <X>★★ ]

  • If you have Vaan’s EX, do NOT equip his “High Speed Buff (5cp)” passive – you will be able to cast his EX skill every other turn (as supposed to every other 2 turns) – this can help a lot in Vaan’s longevity (source).
  • Attack +108 and Max brave +330 due Red Spiral grants Small Attack Up for 3 turns and Max brave will make sure that you don’t leak brv when hitting weaknesses.
  • Also, abilities doing many hits as well as triggering additional hits which also synergize with 35cp weapon Zwill blade also raises the success rate of Defense Down for harder hits while amplifying potency of White whorl and Luminescence. White whorl has higher potency than red spiral which makes the 10 percent multiplier more effective on White whorl than on Red Spiral (GPhoenix0411). Therefore, it’s better to stack Mighty White whorl ★★ for more damage output.

13. Yuffie

[ Max brave +330 , Attack +108 , Debuff Attack Up ★★ ]

  • Attack +108 and Max Brave +330 due to ability Rebuff grants “Now it’s perfect!” for 4 turns which raises Max BRV, Attack and Speed. “Now it’s perfect!” turns her Brave attack to Brave attack+ which is a 1-HIT BRV attack that raises all party members’ BRV based on Yuffie’s Max BRV.

14. Yuna

[  Buff Attack Boost All★★ , Attack +108,  Esuna Charge & Boost★★ ]

  • One of the 6 characters with “cursed” eidoja passives.  One of the two “cursed” passives is so strong that these characters need three copies of the passive to reach their full potential.  Note: due to the dilution of their orange passives, the new passive drops only at 1/11 orange passives compared to 1/9 in a normal character without the “cursed” passives…Good luck hunting these!
  • Initial brave +170 for esuna scaling of 1.2x her initial brave and clvl 54 BRV Danger Base Up slightly raises Initial BRV when BRV is below Initial BRV.
  • Attack +108 benefits from Buff Attack Boost All★★, and will allow her EX related abilities  to deal more BRV damage. Attack +108 will allow her to fare better against higher defense enemies.
  • Yuna will be using her upgraded HP/BRV attack granted from her EX which makes ATK more important than Esuna Charge & Boost★★. She would still want at least one Esuna Charge & Boost★★ due to the 40% Max Brave it grants her low base Max Brave.
  • Cvl 60 allows Cheer to raise brave based on her attack before raising brave of the targeted ally by 1.5x so Attack +108 is also a solid choice due to this.
  • Buff Attack Boost All★★ grants the party 10% Attack/Max BRV when Yuna has an active buff, up to a total of 30% Attack/Max BRV with triple BiS.

15. Edge

[ Attack +108, Max brave +330, Debuff Attack Up ★★ ]

  • Attack +108 and Max brave +330 due to ability Smoke raises BRV based on Attack, Teachings of Eblan raises Max BRV and Attack
  • Mighty Shock ★★ is the go to however stacking Debuff Attack Up ★★ raises Attack by 5 -15% while an enemy is debuffed is not a bad choice either.

16. King

[ Attack +108 , Mighty Rapid bullets ★★ , Max brave +330 ]

17. Bartz

[ Simple Mastery ★★, Max brave +330 , Attack +108 ]

  • To best utilize Bartz’s party-wide aura, triple Simple Mastery ★★ passives are highly recommended
  • While ATK+108 has been THE stat to go in CHAOS era for most characters, MBrv+330 is still considered superior for Bartz, because of two reasons: 1) Both Bartz’s missile and EX attacks are gravity-based, so he does not depend on ATK for shaving and 2) almost all his abilities offer Mbrv-based party battery.  However, if you want Bartz to hit harder (and sacrifice a little bit of battery support), by all means go for CS50/ATK108.
  • Attack +108 for more damage. Max brave +330 allows him to gain more brave for more damage and avoid brave capping especially when his abilities hit much harder after being mastered.
  • Clvl 50 slighty raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack Power and Defense Power of all party members after mastering two abilities (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

18. Penelo

[ Max brave +330, Initial Brave +170 ]

  • mBrv is the stat to go for.  Triple MBrv+330 is highly recommended
  • IBrv+170 will be a better option instead of bravery ★★ as a secondary stat

19. Terra

[ ATK+108, Trance Boost ★★, Max Brave +330 ]

  • Terra’s HP++ granted by having her EX+ weapon has low modifiers, benefitting from more ATK artifacts, and will be used a lot to recharge some Magitek stacks or if paired with a BRV battery.
  • Dualcast (granted by EX ability once EX+ 3/3 is unlocked) has difficulties capping out in most cases so focusing on ATK artifacts is beneficial.
  • Magic Meteor has a 180% Max BRV overflow so would further benefit from any Max BRV artifacts Terra has.
  • Trance boost ★★ only activates on the last wave so it doesn’t contribute to the prior waves even if it offers more stats but the extra attack would help Terra deal brv damage.
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense if HP is Max when the final battle starts (10% base, 25% with triple Trance Boost★★).

20. Yang

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Mighty Kick ★★ ]

  • Attack +108 increases damage output, Max brave +330 and Mighty kick ★★ increases Kick / Kick + damage and splash damage which easily clear mobs especially for farming runs.

21. Onion Knight

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Mighty <X> ★★ ]

  • Due to many hit counts, attack +108 and max brave +330 works well together.
  • Also works great together with Blizzard Combo Self: Marginally raises ATK with Sage I

22. Firion

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , HP +1020 ]

  • Attack +108 to increase his damage output.
  • Hp +1020 synergize with attack +108 as well as more health steal from blood weapon’s recovery limit being 15% his max Hp.
  • Initial brave +170 is a better choice due to lack of hit count not being able to cap brave easily pre-awakening. But once awakening arrives, max brave +330 will perform better than Int brave +170 due to increase in hit counts.

23. Laguna

[ Max brave +330 , Attack +108 , Mighty <X> ★★ ]

  • Max Brave +330 helps Laguna battery when using his Grenade with the extend. Attack +108 to shave brv on Shotgun. They also synergise well with clvl 58
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises BRV damage when using an AoE  (10% base, +5% per artifact).

24. Steiner

[ Max brave +330 , Attack +108 , Debuff Attack Up★★ ]

25. Shadow

[ Attack +108, Max brave +330, Mighty Wild Throw ★★  ]

  • Attack +108 and max brave +330 is great synergy with Shadow stealth which increase brave by multiplying current brave by 1.2 / 1.4 (cp 15 affinity).
  • Mighty wild throw★★ further improves the damage. Initial brave +170 can be considered due to clvl 60 Wild Throw Extend turns Wild throw from just 3 brave hits to 3 brave hits + 1 hp attack and another 3 brave hits + 1 hp attack (so brave capping chance is very low in this case) also at the same time Shadow is a character has high initial brave.

26. Squall

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330, Mighty renzokuken ★★ ]

27. Vanille

[ Max brave +330 , Attack +108 , Debuff Attack Up ★★ ]

  • Max Brave +330 helps Vanille battery with Deprotect, Attack +108 and Debuff Attack up ★★ will synergise well together and also will increase the amount of brv battery gained from Dispel AND the amount of brv gained in HP Attack+.

28. Setzer

[ Attack +108, Max Brave +330, Mighty Red Card★★ ]

  • Attack +108 works really well with Mighty Red Card★★ because his red card ability does 3 brave attack + 1 hp attack three times as well as crystal level 60 Red Card Extend which extremely raises Red card’s total potency, grants small Attack Up for 6 turns.
  • Clvl 50 All in boost ★★ Increases the effects of All In by 5%. All in activates moderately raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack Power, Defense Power and Speed when there are no ability uses left.  This passive has been reworked to make its activation much more feasible. It is raised to a solid 3rd rank in terms of BiS passives  (10% base, +5% per artifact)

29. Wakka

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Debuff Attack Up ★★ ]

30. Galuf

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Buff Attack Up ★★ ]

  • Attack +108 to increase damage dealt with Counter and increase brv battery from Blade Block.

31. Balthier

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330, Mighty Snatch shot ★★ ]

  • Attack +108 for more damage into brave attack, Snatch shot brave steal and Great aim multiplier
  • Max brave +330 to avoid brave capping especially in multiple enemy scenarios.
  • Mighty snatch shot ★★ raises snatch shot damage output which synergize with Attack +108.

32. Eiko

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Mighty Smite ★★ ]

  • Attack +108, Buffed attack ★★ and Mighty smite ★★ works really well together because Smite grants 100% of the brave damage stolen to your team.
  • Smite also raises all party members’ BRV based on Eiko’s Attack Power.

33. Tidus

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Mighty <X>★★ ]

  • Tidus has very low max brave. So if you happen to brave cap often, max brave +330 is the way to go. Attack +108 to help him hit harder.

34. Prishe

[ Attack +108 , Ability Attack Bonus ★★ , Max brave +330 ]

  • Most of the time she will be using her abilities continuously so Ability attack bonus ★★ and Attack +108 comes in handy.
  • Being able to exploit enemies weakness with her elemental attacks, she can easily break them therefore Max brave +330 helps her do more damage and avoid brave capping at the same time.
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises BRV damage when using abilities continuously (+25% dmg, +10% per artifact).

35. Faris

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Mighty Waterwhirl/Cannonfire ★★ ]

  • All 3 passives complements each other. She also master her abilities very quickly especially Cannonfire which provide defence down debuff to make Waterwhirl+ and Cannonfire+ hit really hard hence Attack +108 and max brave +330 is there to further increase damage and avoid brave cap.

36. Ramza

[ Attack +108,  Max brave +330, Mighty <X>t Squire Boost ★★]

  • Attack +108 helps his BRV Attack+ increase the brv gain to the party and helps his HP Attack+ brv gain.
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense if HP is Max when the final battle starts. (10% base, 5% per [Mighty <X>t Squire Boost★★] artifact)

37. Zell

[ Max Brave +330 , Attack +108 , Self-Realization Boost ★★ ]

  • Clvl 50 slightly raises BRV damage inflicted while Duel is up (+10% dmg base, +5% per artifact).

39. Vincent

[ Max Brave +330 , Attack +108 , Mighty <X> ★★ ]

  • Prioritize stacking at least 2 x Mighty Deadly Beast Flare ★★ or Mighty Livewire Shot ★★ if you aren’t aiming for Attack +108 and Max brave +330 because they apply debuff therefore 20% brave damage increase on Thunder Resist Down is better than 10% for both especially when the ability becomes area attack later on which is really powerful.
  • Therefore, he will be like Laguna who can easily reach max brave so Max brave +330 comes in handy. Pairs really well with hard hitters like Lightning who’s Sparkstrike hits very hard on weak to lightning targets.

40. Ace

[ Attack +108, Max brave +330, Spiral’s End Boost★★ ]

  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Attack when Card Stock is at 3 (20% base, +5% per artifact).

  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Initial BRV and Speed when an ally’s BRV is below their Initial BRV.

44. Cyan

[ Attack +108, Buffed Attack up★★ , Max brave +330  ]

  • Bushido Fang is seldom used but hits 9999 regardless of artifacts with auras/etc. Bushido Dragon, however, struggles to consistently hit the 9999 without something like Melee Resist Down or an element enchant to boost it further, and that is even with triple 108. Moreover, Buffed Attack will indisputably usurp MBRV as the most desireable secondary in the long term simply because his rework has a relatively high overflow value of 180%, but low hits. Therefore MBRV will not be needed (source).
  • His base abilities require setup and then becomes Brave or Brave + Hp attack.
  • During the setup he gainns 0.5 int brave which is not a lot but they penetrates defense therefore the brave gain will be quite high.

45. Papalymo

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Mighty <X>★★ ]

  • Attack +108 synergize with Astral fire which applies a buff grants attack up

46. Lightning

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Mighty <X>★★ ]

  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Attack and Speed when the final battle starts.

47. Thancred

[Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , Mighty <X> ★★ ]

  • Attack +108 is great on him due to many usage of his abilities and they hit much harder once the enemy is poisoned.
  • It also pairs well with Jugulating Wasp’s Self: 3 turns ATK Up I.
  • Max brave +330 to avoid brave leaking which also goes well with his crystal passives clvl 50 The Indiscriminate Rogue which raises Max BRV.
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense when an enemy is poisoned.

48. Snow

[ Max brave +330 , Attack +108 , Initial brave +170 ]

  • Initial brave for Steelguard scaling which raises BRV by 3/4 of Snow’s Initial BRV and grants him BRV Damage Reduction for 5 turns and further improving it with clvl 55 Steelguard Extend which moderately raises the BRV Gain based on Initial BRV.
  • Max brave +330 and Attack +108 work well together due to 10% of HP damage dealt from Froststrike is converted to BRV, Froststrike will hit really hard due to many attack buffs he gets from crystal passives such as clvl 5 HP Damage Attack Up which sightly raises Attack after taking HP damage.

49. Cater

[ Buff Attack Boost Up★★, Blizzard ROK Triple Slip Charge★★ , Attack +108 ]

  • One of the 6 characters with “cursed” eidoja passives.  One of the two “cursed” passives is so strong that these characters need three copies of the passive to reach their full potential.  Note: due to the dilution of their orange passives, the new passive drops only at 1/11 orange passives compared to 1/9 in a normal character without the “cursed” passives…Good luck hunting these!
  • Buff Attack Boost Up★★ boosts Attack (20%) and Max BRV (20%) when Cater has an active buff, up to a total of 60% Attack/Max BRV with triple BiS.
  • Blizzard ROK Triple Slip Charge★★ adds +1 use to Blizzard ROK and Triple Slip, up to a total of +3 uses for each move with triple BiS.

[ Healing Wind Charge & Boost All★★, Attack+108 , Prayer of the Cetra Charge★★]

  • One of the 6 characters with “cursed” eidoja passives.  One of the two “cursed” passives is so strong that these characters need three copies of the passive to reach their full potential.  Note: due to the dilution of their orange passives, the new passive drops only at 1/11 orange passives compared to 1/9 in a normal character without the “cursed” passives…Good luck hunting these!
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Initial BRV and Defense of all allies when HP is Max.

54. Auron

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Debuff Attack Up ★★ ]

55. Serah

[ Debuff Attack Boost All★★ , Moonlight Charge & Boost★★ ,  Attack +108 ]

  • One of the 6 characters with “cursed” eidoja passives.  One of the two “cursed” passives is so strong that these characters need three copies of the passive to reach their full potential.  Note: due to the dilution of their orange passives, the new passive drops only at 1/11 orange passives compared to 1/9 in a normal character without the “cursed” passives…Good luck hunting these!
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Attack and Speed if HP is Max when the final battle starts (10% base, +5% per artifact). Serah has high base speed so it isn’t recommended to farm passives for this due to increasing skill usage compared to the rest of the party.
  • Debuff Attack Boost All★★ raises party’s Attack and Max BRV by 10% when an enemy has a debuff, up to a total of 30% with triple passives.
  • Moonlight Charge & Boost★★ adds +1 use to Moonlight, and raises Serah’s Max BRV by 20% per passive. Triple Moonlight Charge & Boost★★ will give a total of +3 uses to Moonlight and 60% Max BRV to Serah.

  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense if HP is Max when the final battle starts (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Mighty Shine Edge ★★ ]

60. Kain

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Mighty <X> ★★ ]

61. Kuja

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Mighty Ultima (IX) ★★ ]

  • When Kuja’s EX weapon is used he has 4 stacks of Soul Divider until his framed buff Darkness of Eternity wears off.
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Max BRV and Speed while buffed (10% base, +5% per artifact).

62. Palom

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Buffed Attack ★★ ]

  • Clvl 50 slightly raises BRV damage inflicted by BRV Attack+ and Dualcast.

63. Maria

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Mighty <X> ★★ ]

  • Clvl 50 upon recovering HP, if the healing amount exceeds Max HP, the excess is converted to BRV. The BRV value granted is limited to 150% of Initial BRV.

64. Quistis

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330, Mighty Laser Whip ★★/Mighty Degenerator Whip ★★ ]

  • BiS for Quistis is the norm ATK+108 / MBrv+330.  When you don’t have three copies of that, the Mighty <X> are the next best choice.  However, the better mighty passive is different between using Quistis for your own team (where Mighty Laser Whip★★ is better for it to reach threshold to get the HP attack follow up, also way more charges); or setting Quistis as a friend support (where Mighty Degenerator Whip is the only mighty that matters)
  • Clvl 50 slightly raises Max BRV of all allies for 2 turns after inflicting a debuff.

65. Raijin

[ Attack +108 , Max brave +330 , The Roaring Lightning Boost ★★ ]

69. Lenna

[ Initial Brave +170 , Max Brave +330 , Attack +108 ]

  • I.Brv is the best passive for Lenna for her to do best on her battery skills.  She also provides a huge I.Brv buff that further extends the boost from artifacts.
  • M.Brv is the next best stat for Lenna, followed by ATK. ATK is lower priority as the primary role of Lenna is defensive support, and both I.Brv and M.Brv has bigger impact than ATK, which is more desired by DPS/DPT characters.
  • Clvl 50 Upon recovering HP, if the healing amount exceeds Max HP, 50% of the excess is split amongst allies. Recovery amount is limited to 10% of each target’s Max HP.

70. Cid

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Mighty <X> ★★ ]

  • Works well while being targeted as both his abilities has increased BRV damage while targeted by enemy.
  • iBrv 170 and mBrv 330 competes for the 3rd slot for BiS, mBrv is geared toward an offensive build whereas iBrv is geared toward a defensive build (as iBrv makes Zack’s shield stronger).
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Max BRV and Attack if HP is Max when the final battle starts (+10% ATK and +30% mBrv base, +25% ATK and 75% mBrv with triple BiS).

74. Jecht

[ Attack +108, Max Brave +330, Mighty Jecht Slash ★★  ]

75. Lilisette

[ Moonshade Butterfly Boost ★★ , Max Brave + 330 ]

  • To best utilize Lilisette’s party-wide aura, triple Moonshade Butterfly Boost ★★ passives are highly recommended
  • Lilisette only has 2 ideal artifact passives, although 3x Moonshade ★★, Max Brave +330 is the best option, aim for 3x Moonshade ★★ if you don’t want to farm hardcore.
  • Clvl 30 Slightly raises Max BRV while an enemy is debuffed.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense of all party members when HP is over 50% (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

78. Alisaie

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Acceleration ★★ ]

  • One of her main rotations doesn’t trigger the c50 past the first two turns, while the other main rotation will only have it active half the time, and that’s not including AA usage. It’s not a bad passive, but it’s definitely the tertiary pick after ATK and MBRV unless the passive gets reworked at some point in the future to trigger on Verstone/fire/holy/flare (source).
  • Clvl 50 Slightly increases Max BRV and Attack for 3 turns after using Veraero and Verthunder (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

79. Selphie

[ Life of Trabia ★★ , Max Brave +330]

  • To best utilize Selphie’s party-wide aura, triple Life of Trabia ★★ passives are highly recommended
  • Selphie only benefits from Life of Trabia ★★ and Max Brave +330 since Wall increases party BRV based on her Max BRV (With 15CP)
  • Brv Drain/Brv Wall/+IBrv+170 could compete for a distant 3rd place for artifact passive, but they are nowhere near useful as the top 2.  Therefore, these should only serve as placeholders until you farm hardcore for Life of Trabia ★★ and Max Brave +330.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Initial BRV and Max BRV of all party members when HP is over 50% (15% base, 30% with triple BiS).

80. Gilgamesh

[ Attack +108, Max Brave +330, Way of the Hero ★★  ]

  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense if HP is Max when the final battle starts (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

81. Relm

[ Future Master Artist Boost★★ , Max Brave +330, Attack +108]

  • To best utilize Relm’s party-wide aura, triple Future Master Artist Boost★★ passives are highly recommended
  • While both ATK and MBrv passives are great secondary stats for an artifact with FMA★★, MBrv is slightly better because:
    • Most of Relm’s summon attacks are AOE, more Mbrv can help reduce leaking
    • Most of the situation, Relm will utilize boss’s weakness with her Sketch Summon ability, therefore, she will be hitting 9999 anyway, more MBrv can make Relm more compatible with BRV batteries
    • Without equipping relevant summon for hitting weakness, Triple ATK+108 will not save Relm from being non-viable (i.e. Almost any character with an EX weapon will be superior than Relm without a matching summon that hits for weakness, in terms of damage; having triple ATK+108 artifacts will not change this fact.)
    • She is only viable by hitting that weakness, and MBrv+330 would be more useful in that situation.
    • Prioritize ATK+108 if you are planning to use Relm for battles that she will not be hitting enemies’ weakness
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises party’s Max BRV and Attack if HP is Max when the final battle starts (15% base, 30% with triple BiS).

82. Cait Sith

[ Max Brave +330 , Mog Fever ★★ , Attack +108 ]

83. Beatrix

[ Continent’s Finest Boost ★★ , Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 ]

  • To best utilize Beatrix’s party-wide aura, triple Continent’s Finest Boost ★★ passives are highly recommended
  • Attack is 2nd priority as she has many hits on Thunder Slash but sometimes can not reach cap unless you have a battery or the enemy is weak to Thunder.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises party’s ATK, DEF while Noble Loyalty active.

84. Leon

[ Attack +108 , Proof of Strength Boost ★★ , Max Brave +330 ]

86. Seven

[ Attack +108 , Eyes on Everything Boost ★★ , Mighty Elementalash ★★ ]

  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises party’s Initial BRV and Attack when HP is at least 50% of Max HP (20% iBrv + 10% ATK base, 35% iBrv + 25% ATK with triple BiS)

88. Agrias

[ Attack +108 , Brave Holy Knight Boost ★★ , Max Brave +330 ]

  • Attack to deal more damage from her Judgement Blade and Boost ★★ to further improve that with an added effect of increasing Max Brave too.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Max BRV and Attack while Brave is active (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

89. Locke

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , In Search Of Treasure Boost ★★ ]

  • Potent BRV shaver with invisible (C15, C50, C54, C58) buffs focusing mostly on Max Brave and Attack. His EX weapon has a unique buff once used that further increases Max Brave and Attack [Treasure Hunter]. Can battery with Phoenix Ray and uses Attack stat to do so. Aim for Attack and Max Brave passives to make him hit harder.
  • To utilize In Search of Treasure Boost ★★, Locke needs to attack an enemy that is NOT targeting him.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Attack and Speed for 5 turns when attacking an enemy not targeting self (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

90. Barret

[ Protector of the Planet ★★ , Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 ]

  • To best utilize Barret’s party-wide aura, triple Protector of the Planet ★★ passives are highly recommended. As usual, other passives to pair with this are Attack and Max Brave.
  • Support/Ranged Attacker hybrid who can provide a huge increase in Attack and MBRV with his Unique Buff AVALANCHE (5% increase to both. +5% for every AVALANCHE stack), with triple Protector of the Planet ★★ and the C50 Equipped this will increase a further 25%, up to a maximum of 50% for the party. Due to Barret giving PHY ATK Up to the party he is best paired with physical teammates to utilise the buff. Grenade Bomb is an AoE so if you’re up against multiple targets Max Brave is viable.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises party’s Max BRV and Attack while AVALANCHE is active (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

91. Paladin Cecil

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Light Grasping Ordeal Boost ★★ ]

  • Attack and Max Brave are boosted with Cecil’s unique framed buff Brilliant Sword which will further boost raw stats provided by artifact passives with those stats. Ability Attack Bonus (C54) will increase BRV damage dealt during ability chain so it’s best to continuously use abilities (This includes the alternate versions of BRV and HP attack).
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense if HP is Max when the final battle starts (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

92. Rosa

[ Devoted White Mage Boost ★★ , Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 ]

  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises party Initial BRV and Attack while Rosa’s Prayer is active (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

93. Golbez

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , The Lunarian Descendant Boost ★★ ]

  • Dark Melee and Magic Attacker who self buffs with Shadow Dragon (Each stack increases Attack and Max Brave by 10%, caps at 3 stacks. Once at 3 stacks you can refresh Shadow Dragon stacks using EX Ability Twin Meteor, if not it will no longer refresh using Rising Wave/Glare Hand until it runs out after 6 turns). Raw stats over percentages here as they will synergize well with his Shadow Dragon buff, further boosting those stats.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Max Brave and Attack while Shadow Dragon is active (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

94. Rinoa

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Leader of the Forest Owls Boost ★★ ]

  • Mainly uses her BRV+ and HP+ attacks after using Angelo Cannon or Angel Wing. Depletes HP of Rinoa when using BRV+ or HP+ attacks under Angel Wing (Pair with healer to keep her HP high). Low EX Recharge rate due to using BRV+ and HP+ attacks. She also has a 20% MBRV and ATK aura for the party while she is buffed. Making her useful to parties that need to hit harder or that leak BRV. Standard Attack and Max Brave artifacts to shave and avoid leaking BRV.
  • Clvl 50 Raises BRV damage dealt with BRV Attack+ (Angelo), BRV Attack+ (Angel Wing), HP Attack+ (Angel Wing) by 10% (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

95. Lulu

[ Attack +108 , Max Brave +330 , Doll Carrying Black Mage Boost ★★ ]

  • Inflicts Fire Resist Down with Stinger Mog to exploit Fire weakness with Fire Moomba, ideal for parties with Fire damage (Jecht, Vivi, Papalymo and Steiner to name a few). Also grants Fire Enchant to party which helps non elemental abilities hit Fire Weakness caused by Lulu. Standard damage unit who gets more powerful as her abilities are used and hitting a targets weakness, they will grant Doll Master and at 5 stacks it will unlock her + variants of her skills. Give her Attack and Max Brave passives to make her hit harder and deal more damage.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Max Brave and Attack while Doll Master is active (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

96. Lann and Reynn

[ Max Brave +330 , Mirage Keeper Boost ★★ , Attack +108]

  • The twins do 100% AOE damage for all their attacks, without any overflows.  In addition, their attacks cover FIVE elements and more often than not, they will be hitting enemy weaknesses.  Therefore, mBrv is their most important stat to reduce damage capping as much as possible. This is also the reason Mirage Keeper Boost★★ is considered better than pure Atk +108, since part of its effect also increases the twins’ mBrv by 5%.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Initial BRV, Max BRV, Attack and Defense while Mirage S and Mirage L are active (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

97. Freya

  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises party Max Brave and Attack while buffed (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

98. Vayne

[ Attack +108 , Imperial Consul Boost ★★ , Max Brave +330 ]

  • Due to Vayne’s unique mechanism of unbreak/rebreak enemies, passives that are triggered by breaking an enemy are considered useful for him and should be kept. (in contrast to the rest of the cast, on which those passives are considered less useful)
  • Has a break mechanic, and when he reaches 3 stacks of Conqueror’s Power doesn’t increase turn count. High attack with good party Aura, very useful during COSMOS difficulty era, especially with turn count requirements. EX Weapon refreshes ability uses by 1. Pairs well with generic Attack and Max Brave buffs.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Max Brave and Attack while buffed (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

99. Fran

[ Attack +108 , Mysterious Viera Warrior Boost ★★ , Max Brave +330 ]

  • Fran is a Debuffer that relies on Whip Kick to apply stacks to enemies, each stack of Viera’s Punishment adds a different debuff on top of the previous ones.

100. Porom

[ White Mage’s Talent Boost ★★ , Max Brave +330 , HP +1020 ]

  • To best utilize Porom’s party wide aura, triple White Mage’s Talent Boost ★★’s are recommended.
  • HP +1020 is the consolation as when Mysidian Brilliance is used upon herself she will gain more brv (200% of excess HP healed added to the targets BRV). With more brv generated to herself with Mysidian Brilliance, she can deal more damage and grant more brv to the party from her HP+ Attack. She usually has the most HP in a party so even without HP artifacts Mysidian Brilliance used on Porom herself is recommended.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises party Max BRV and Attack while buffed (10% base, 25% with triple BiS).

  • Attack +108 for better damage scaling vs. higher DEF enemies. The +108 attack also gets amplified by % buffs like Youth from the Future.
  • Youth from the Future Boost ★★ buffs attack and speed by 5% when Last Hunter is active. The attack % is important as it is potent was Noel’s high attack base stats (and EX attack stat).
  • Max Brave +330 is if you want higher overflow Max Brave. Not as important as it either does not interact well with higher DEF enemies or isn’t needed (in the case of his EX which dumps BRV 4 times.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Attack and Speed while Last Hunter is active.

106. Aphmau

[ Attack +108 , Unarmed Puppeteer Boost ★★ , Max Brave +330 ]

  • Attack +108 for better damage scaling vs. higher DEF enemies. The +108 attack also gets amplified by % buffs like Unarmed Puppeteer.

  • Max Brave +330 is to increase the amount of overflow brave. Won’t be as relevant if using Aphmau against content with higher DEF.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Max Brave and Attack with active buffs.

107. Sherlotta

[ Max Brave +330 , Attack +108 , Living Out Eternity ★★ ]

  • Max Bravery is her priority as it gives her more mileage on her battery.
  • Although, her basic brv attack and second skill provide bravery based on her attack, which makes it her second priority.
  • Her cs50, Living Out Eternity, stands at the third position since it provides both mbrv and attack, but it cannot top raw stats that can be multiplied through a variety of buffs. – Slightly raises Max Brave and Speed while light of the Crystal buff is active.

108. Garland

[Attack +108 , Warrior Craving Discord ★★ , Max Brave +330 ]

  • Attack is the focus for Garland as he has enough overflow (120%/150%, 150%/180%) on his skills to not worry about Max Bravery most of the time.

111. Lyse

[Attack +108 , Max Brave + 330 , In Crimson It Began ★★ ]

  • Some of Lyse’s abilities have BRV gain that scale based on her Attack which contributes to her having an easier timing capping out Brave. Max Brave passives are therefore needed to prevent herself from overcapping after overflow.

  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises party’s Max Brave and Defense while Ronso Traits is active.

114. Emperor

[ Attack +108 , Ambition for World Domination Boost ★★ , Max Brave +330 ]

  • His traps deal low brv damage, maximize the potential with Attack and Clvl 50.
  • His traps trigger and unload Emperor’s brv during enemy turns, therefore, capping Mbrv should not be a problem for him (which lowers the priority for Mbrv passives).

116. Ignis

[ Max Brave +330 , Initial Brave +170 , Cooking for Companions ★★ ]

  • Restores HP based on Initial Brave with Regroup and batteries based on Max Brave with Quick Recipeh. Also batteries based on Initial Brave when using HP Attack+ while Memory Lane Pastry is active or Max Brave while Papa Bird & Baby Bowl is active. So both stats are important.
  • Clvl 50 Slightly raises Inital Brave and Max Brave while Ambrosia is active.

117. Aranea

[ Miss Mercenary ★★, Max Brave +330 , Attack +108 ]

  • Miss Mercenary Boost ★★ gives a 5% bonus to ATK, Mbrv, IBrv and Def and is useful all the time.  The debate is: should Aranea’s BiS be 108/MM, or 330/MM.
  • Without synergy and any artifacts and with her Vitalcrusher debuff, Aranea can hit 9999 with all her abilities, in this case, ATK artifacts would be wasted, and 330/MM would be the BiS; Without synergy and any artifacts and WITHOUT her Vitalcrusher debuff, Aranea can hit 6000+ with crits and 2000+ without crits, in this case, 108/MM would be the BiS
  • Therefore, ATK+108 vs. MBrv+330 totally depends on if Aranea can maintain her Vitalcrusher debuff on the enemy, or not; which in turn, depends on the length of the stage, as well as the number of bosses on the stage.
  • The best way to go is keeping three copies of 330/MM as her defaults.  If there is any stage (especially in later CHAOS stages), when Aranea has problem maintaining her Vitalcrusher debuff (which is not only single-target, but also a 2-turn duration), then swap two 330/MMs out for 108/MMs for that stage.
