Normal Dolan Guide
Hello all, just here to share my formation for soloing normal dolan and the logic behind each unit choice in hopes that it’ll help everyone else eventually be able to solo normal dolan. This is my first time making a guide so sorry if the formatting sucks. I’m always open to any suggestions/criticisms.

Note: Enemies in Dolan apply healing prohibition and the boss applies both a nasty DoT and healing prohibition. While these are difficult to deal with, there are units that can bypass that healing prohibition. Some of these units are Astrid, Venaka and Sabrina. Both Sabrina and Astrid’s healing are categorized as a barrier while venaka’s heal is a stat enhancement which can still heal units with healing prohibition applied to them.
Turn Order
The numbers below correspond to the turn order/position of each unit
- The unit I used was venaka for the attack boost on my leto so he can 1 shot or nearly 1 shot enemies. Other units that could be used are really any attack boosting support units that can buff leto, such as Arines, Mary, Hyeon Wol, etc
- Runes: Shield or vital runes to keep them alive longer.
- I use Sabrina to aoe buff #3 and #4 with her dmg reduction buff to reduce the dmg our main tank will be taking from the enemies aside from the boss.. It doesn’t necessarily have to be sabrina, any other supports with a 3×3 square or X buff range works If your tank struggles to survive, You can use Venaka in this position since her heal bypasses the heal prohibition
- Runes:Shield Runes to tank the crossbow units (they don’t do fixed damage, but they hurt a bit)
- The key unit to this formation. It’s best to have a debuff or DoT immune tank in this position to tank the boss. Even better if they have an energy shield (mammonir or velfern) to get through the healing prohibition. Alternatively, You can use Astrid, who has a barrier that heals or grosa who has DoT immunity. If your tank doesn’t have DoT or debuff immune, you can switch out position 1 for Claris so she can remove the DoT right after the boss applies it.
- Velfern sits in this spot to tank hits and regen it back with his energy shield. He acts as a pseudo tank and can do massive amounts of damage once the graves start stacking up. If the center tank dies, velf acts as the substitute tank to tank the boss. If you don’t have Velfern or you’re using him as the center tank, then you can use ymir here.
- Runes: I personally use 1 Vital and 1 Assault rune, but double Assault works if you need the extra dmg.
- Seir is off alone in the top corner to apply her stigma to as many units as possible on the first wave while keeping them from hitting everyone else in the aoe range when she taunts. She usually dies by round 2 but ends up doing massive damage via stigma when she dies. If you dont have seir, you can swap it out with a high damage warrior/mage that can hit several enemies at once and position them in the center row either directly behind mammonir or directly in front of gunther
- Runes: double vital or vital/shield, shes going to die pretty quick regardless since the enemies do fixed dmg and apply heal prohibition
- I use Leto because he can almost always 1 shot every enemy when fully buffed. He just works to thin out the enemies which makes it easier for the tanks to survive.
- Runes: double assault with agility option
- Viola is the other key unit to this formation. She does damage based on the max HP of the enemy which adds up to massive amounts of damage considering how high the hp of every enemy is. A +9 Viola can hit an entire vertical column which makes it a requirement.
- Runes: 1 crit rune and 1 crit damage rune. Since all of her damage comes from her DoT, you’ll want to make sure she can kill everything asap by increasing the DoT damage. DoTs can crit and the amount of dmg increases based off of crit damage.
- Gunther is just here to kill mobs during the first wave with his front skip and X-shaped range. He usually dies after the first or second attack due to counter but ends up doing a lot of damage to the center/top. Alternatively, you can use alche since she can remove the counter and stay alive throughout the fight while also hitting in an X
- Runes: double assault for more dmg
- Lillian’s just there as a filler unit. There really isn’t much use for her other than to be a meatshield who dies before she can even attack. If you have any units that can tank 5-6 hits in that position or even more, then they may work even better
