Introduction

There is a lot to love about King’s Raid. From its beautiful art, fun game mechanics, and interesting characters, it’s easy to get swept up in this mobile game’s world.

If you are brand new to the game, looking at the impressive number of characters can undoubtedly be a bit daunting. There are so many different characters in the game’s roster and so many other teams created from them. It’s honestly difficult to know where to start.

The goal is that, by the time I’m done, you’ll be knowledgeable enough about the game to the point that you can jump in and know-how each character stacks up with one another and which characters will work best for your particular team build.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Group 1: Priests

Priests are one of the most essential classes in the game and can make all the difference between life and death in a battle. Here are all of the best Priests in the game and how they stack up with one another.

All-around Healers

Fallen Frey

Without a doubt, one of the most powerful healers in the game, no matter what your build, Frey has several incredible feats that make her a must-have in any party. She creates mini shields, buffs the highest attacker’s damage, and has an item that increases the entire party’s overall damage output. This is all on top of the fact that she’s a healer, meaning that she can do all of this while also ensuring your characters don’t die. Absolute top of the top.

Frey

While she wasn’t always as powerful as she is now, since getting buffed in a recent patch, Frey is very much a force to be reckoned with all on her own. Although she is not as powerful as her Fallen version, Frey has many of the same features. She can heal, improve crit rate, and provide barrier protection. One of the only things that make her notably weaker than Fallen Frey is that she does not do well in Arena gameplay, nor are some of her buffs or heals as effective.

Laias

Something of a mana battery, Laias is excellent for both physical and magical-based teams and does not require nearly as much investment to see dramatic results. Her will target the entire party rather than a single character, while she also offers numerous shields and buffs for her team.

Shea

The last top-tier healer on this list, Shea has many unique perks and benefits that quickly put her in the top spot. She can provide a large amount of damage reduction for your team in addition to her healing, meaning that she can not only significantly reduce the damage taken by your group but can then heal any damage that they do manage to receive.

Shea’s one drawback is that she is not a beginner-friendly character and needs a fair amount of investment and items before many of her traits are on display. That said, when they are, you can’t get a better player (well, Fallen Frey is better, but you get the point).

Physical Builds

Evan (Physical)

While not so effective in a magic-based team build, Evan is monstrous when implemented in a physical build. He does require a bit of an investment in the early stages before reaching his full potential. When he does, however, there aren’t a lot of physical healers that can compete.

Evan has a ton of incredible skills that help make up for any potential downfalls in his stats. For example, “Uproar of Naav Gehen” will increase the Heal Rate and damage output by up to 25%, while “Purification of Life” heals all allies and increases their Heal Rate by 25%.

Rehartna

While she can potentially be used all around, Rehartna is by and large a physically-based healer. Her most impressive feature is her ability to grow stronger with each progressive stage she is involved in. This means that, in some areas, she may be the least impressive, while in others, she can easily rival Fallen Frey in usefulness.

Juno

JUNO is an NPC hero, an excellent option for those who do not yet have Fallen Frey as an option. Especially for those looking to do a physical build-based team, Juno has a lot going for her.

Like Evan, she has many different skills that help make her a formidable character in the game. Skills like “Juno’s Spicy Special,” as an example, altogether remove all enemy buffs and deal high amounts of damage over 10 seconds.

Magical Builds

May

Another NPC hero, May, is pretty much your best and only option for those looking to do a magical build outside of the top all-around options from earlier. Her ability to buff and improve her allies is second only to Frey and Fallen Frey to aid a magical team.

Next up are Knights…

Group 2: Knights

Knights are considered to be the “Tanks” of any party and are the ones that are often regarded as the most reliable of the group in terms of defense and damage output. These are the best Knights in the game for either magical or physical builds.

Physical Tanks

Loman

While an NPC Hero, there is a lot to love about Loman. If obtained and with the right weapons, Loman becomes a force to be reckoned with. He gains the ability to heal after getting his soul weapon as well as can stun opponents. Not only that, but he can also help buff your entire team, granting much-needed assistance during tough battles.

Clause

While Loman is instrumental, he is an NPC hero and requires a fair bit to invest in before becoming truly great does have its drawbacks. On the other hand, Clause is one of the starting free-to-play options and has almost just as much going for him by comparison. He is generally more effective in the early parts of the story, but that doesn’t mean he loses out entirely later.

Phillop

Phillop is another great Knight character for physical builds and even can overtake Clause in the later parts of the game. He can cut through physical defense effectively while also granting his allies impressive bonuses to their physical defense.

Glenwys

Glenwys is just a bit more physically minded than she is magical. That said, if there were a Knight that most exemplified the general nature, it would be her.

Magical Builds

Neraxis

For many players, they may wonder how Neraxis compares to Jane, and then, I say that, while the two are primarily equal, I will give the slight edge to Neraxis simply because he is a bit hardier as a Knight. He also offers an increase in the amount of damage done by all of his allies to an opponent.

Jane

As I just mentioned, even though I consider Neraxis to be the superior of the two, that isn’t without giving Jane her acknowledgments. She is most noted for offering several ally amps. Not only that, but because she is an undead character, she also has this incredible ability to revive after being killed. This does, unfortunately, also mean that she is a bit more flimsy compared to other Knights.

Morrah

Morrah is a viable option, though she does require a fair amount of investment to be truly effective. She can offer her team members a strong defense against attacks while also amp their attacks. Not only that, but Morrah also has incredible synergy with the vast majority of magic types in the game.

Next on the list are the Warriors.

Group 3: Main DPS(Warriors)

Warriors are the hard-hitting damage dealers of the group. These are the best options for those playing, both for physical as well as magical builds.

Physical Builds

Pansirone

Pretty much the warrior version of Fallen Frey. Pansirone is so incredibly powerful. You’d be forgiven in thinking she was more than a little bit broken. She does the highest tier of damage and can pretty much clear a chapter on her own. If you are looking to clear the game on “Easy”, Pansirone is pretty much your girl.

Chase

Next up is Chase. Chase has a lot of things that make him powerful while also fun to play with. He can deal high amounts of damage and has a unique and exciting playstyle overall.

Rebel Clause

Rebel Clause is not a character you can get early in the game. That said, after chapter 9, he is available and quite impressive in combat.

Magical Builds

Kirze

Kirze is a pretty awesome magical build warrior. She has a large number of stuns and AOEs while also producing a ton of single-target damage. What makes her especially when she is entirely free to play!

Seria

Another stellar option for magical builds, Seria, can produce much damage while also being useful in raids.

Support Classes

These are several different classes that all are primarily meant to act as support for the players.

All-around Builds

Annette

Annette is a Mechanic class and has several great buffs as we as the ability to provide healing over time. She can grant increases to attack and attack speed towards her party allies.

Physical Builds

Miruru

Miruru is another great addition to the game and is entirely free to play. She is another Mechanic class and can produce an impressive amount of DPS with her attacks. If invested properly, she can reach up to 90% on her Crit Chance, making her able to do some of the greatest damage.

Naila

Naila is another great physically-based support in the game. She is a warrior class and has a fairly good amount of DPS with some good amps. Of all the supports, she is certainly one of the top, with a 60% amp total.

Priscilla

Another warrior class support after Naila, Priscilla can work with pretty much any team, though strongly skewed towards physical builds. She can provide buffs to the main DPS and tank many more hits than one would think.

Magical Builds

Lorraine

Wizard-class support, Lorraine is particularly well-received for her useful skills that all help increase the amount of damage dealt. She can also stun opponents for several seconds, even at the beginning levels.

Viska

Another powerful wizard-class support, Viska has several skills that make her great for magical team builds. Her “Meal Time!! Meal Time!!” skill not only deals a large amount of damage, but any enemy that is hit also suffers a 25% reduction in their attack while Viska’s party’s attack is increased even further.

Summary

For those that are interested in jumping into the world of King’s Raid, this list is a great beginner-friendly list with a ton of great characters to look into. However, one thing to keep in mind is that this is not a complete list of every character in the game’s roster. You could easily consider it a small overview of all the characters in the game.

If you are interested in learning even more about any characters, I did not mention them here. The game has a tab designated as “Hero Statistics” that you can unlock after completing chapter 3. There, you can get a full breakdown of each character in the game and their statistics.

As you play King’s Raid, you will find and develop your personalized playstyle. If you are just getting started, these characters listed above are your best introduction into the game with the least amount of overall investment before being truly effective.
