Introduction
I’m on Server 3. I’m level 90 (after half a year), VIP 4 and generally top 20 daily in top floor and 1 on 1. I’ve been playing since February 2016 and after some time, have been able to consistently clear champion and breeze through new campaigns as I unlock them (not true post Chapter 13). This is a collection of a couple tips I wish someone told me before and a guide on a couple of the game modes, which are usually pretty self-explanatory. Also my thoughts on a couple of units/tier list at the end.
If this guide helps you (which I hope it does), feel free to use my invite code of: 1003d379309d7
And I never ended up doing the Puzzle event out of laziness and hate of spamming people, but I want that Tenesse skin. If you brothers (and sisters) could help me out, here’s a link:
Thanks, a bunch.
————————————————
Changelog: Sept 28, 2016: Added a lot of tips. Added a Pet/Sky Tower section as well as information on Infinity and Invitation more. Changed the Tier lists and farm priority list heavily. Pester me to add the detailed girls information sooner.
————————————————
General Tips
- Finish the daily missions! Especially if you’re gunning for the free Cynthia/Toys Girl/Leona, finish them all daily and try not to waste stamina. In the long run, don’t sweat it if you can’t get Cynthia/Toys; the last two levels or so require 1000 exp each or so iirc. Also apparently, even starting the week with VIP levels for recharging stamina, it’s ridiculously hard/impossible to get Cynthia.
- Starting out, just go through the campaign as far as you can, leveling up, leveling up your girls and start farming some elite stages for scrolls. Lily and Annie once you unlock ‘em are good “couple weeks” goal as they’ll prove to be very useful. Leona and Joan may also help when starting out. Any girls are good when you’re starting out, as it’ll help with going through champion. I recommend not pulling the small exp juice as money will be tight.
- EXP is important as it is the limit level of your battle girls, which in turn limits how strong you are, how far you can progress, and how much you can promote them.
- Server time is UTC +8. While the events listed in the event tabs have times adjusted for your time zone, the times for the Stamina daily missions (lunch, dinner, evening) are set to UTC +8.
- You can actually target some skills by holding down on the bar instead of tapping it then dragging an indicator. This is useful sometimes when trying to focus down a specific area with an AoE.
- Learn to interrupt other girls’ ultimates when yours. This is key for all game modes/fights. This is also why leveling your girls and their skills is important. Higher level girls have higher chance of hitting their CC against higher leveled opponents and a guaranteed chance versus lower ones (except Zhi Yao’s ult).
- The letter on the bottom right of the girl (A/R/M/P) tells you their faction (Aladrinns, Milerra, Raina, Perity). This is only useful for Challenge, where those of the faction you’re conquering cannot be used.
- The Facebook page gives up to date information about upcoming changes and girls, as well as some in-depth articles written about some of the girls. You can also read up on SX girls to see what the fuck they do as they rip you apart in high level Top Floors.
- The FB page also has a puzzle event that now gives you a free Pengpeng pet (only way to achieve regularly as of now), Leona, and 1180 diamonds and TON of stamina and gold and a cute Tenesse skin to boot. Do it!
- Join a guild ASAP, free 10 stamina at the very least, and with an active strong guild, you’ll get a ton of guild coins to spend and those rare purple item drops you desperately need.
- There are three types of double drop events, check the event log to see what’s upcoming and plan how to use/buy stamina accordingly:
- Double Scroll drops in Elite (Great for getting/evolving BGs)
- Double Item drops in Elite (A good bonus while farming scrolls)
- Double Item drops in Normal (Best for farming items).
- IIRC, you’ll be limited by strength and gold of your girls initially as you progress. Later, if you can farm champion regularly for income, this becomes limited by EXP juices and items as you hit around the purple. You’ll probably finish up to chapter 12 well before 80 with tons of gold. Then when Chapter 13 unlocks, once again, you’ll be limited by the strength of your girls. Don’t sweat it.
- Traveller is currently the only way to exchange for Caitlyn scrolls (other way is to pull her from EVENT packs). Traveller unlocks when you have a 5* girl with a surplus of 15 scrolls. It shows up extremely randomly unless you’re VIP8. You will be trading scrolls at a ratio from 5:1. For those late game enough to take advantage of this, it may be worth using your excess Champion tokens for excess scrolls to take advantage of this.
- It doesn’t say this ANYWHERE, but Max MP on a girl is 1000. Take that into account when reading MP regen/debuff stats on girls stats and their skills.
- Strange advanced tip: Ultimate animation stacking/extending. So when you ultimate generally (non-auto), there’s an animation which seems to pause MOST movement and animation while still allowing other ultimates to go-off and the timer to run down. This can be used to you advantage one of two ways:
- Animation stacking. This is extremely useful in Guild and you might notice this in the Monkey King Infinity trial. Monkey king’s health will constantly go up even during your ultimate animations. Since you need to burst him down, doing the animations one by one would be terrible, and using your Pandaria/Boxer/whatever animations all at the same time means you get the damage in faster. The same is true for guild battles, where ultimates pause your AA/other skill damage while the timer still ticks down. It’s best to stack animations if you can, to squeeze damage in.
- Animation extending is useful in champion and Tangyuan/Doge Infinity trials notably. This is the opposite of stacking where you purposefully hit the ultimates one by one to get your ultimate cast animations/damage in while freezing the battlefield. For instance, tapping Blowie then Elvis then Lily and Annie is what I do in Champion as Blowie’s instant cast tick damage goes off during the rest of the ultimate animations and Elvis’s ult’s long movement time and Lily’s cast duration are mitigated. In the aforementioned trials, this is super useful so Tangyuan cannot ball curl while your DoT ults do their work (Blowie, Annie, Lily) and for doge, this allows Luna to attack more freely (from my experience)
Leveling Up Girls
- Promote and evolve your girls! Evolving increases the stats gained (STR/INT/AGI) for each girl and promoting will allow your girl to equip more items as she cannibalizes the ones equipped and gains their stats as well as a little more.
- Don’t worry about evolving early. Evolving increases stats retroactively so evolving at 49 vs 1 makes no difference with the same skill levels and gear.
- Also don’t worry about enchanting gear before promoting. Promotion only adds the base gear stats, so it’d be a waste of time and money.
- STR adds HP and physical defense, AGI adds crit and INT adds spell power and spell resistance. If the stat matches the main stat of the girl, it also adds physical damage.
- If you hit the little armor button above the stars on a girl’s page, you can see what gear she requires in the next two promotions as well as skins.
- #4 is extremely important as you hit the purple promotions. If you don’t check, you could hit the unfortunate point where you evolve a fully enchanted girl, lose a bunch of stats, only to find out you can only equip a couple of green/blue items. Promoting important enchanted girls is only good when you can stick a couple of enchanted items back after the promotion. Once again, this is only true as you reach purple level promotions, and you generally want to wait until you have at least 3 gears to attach immediately.
- Skins are completely cosmetic and cost gems and are released in certain time frames. They cost 2000 gems.
- The green plus stats when viewing a girl’s stats are additional from skills and items that give that stat. The black stats are not the total stats and do not take into account these stats, but are from the STR/AGI/INT stat. So if you add an item that gives STR to an STR girl, the green stat of her STR will go up, but her black stat of HP and Atk will go up as well.
- I suggest enchanting gear if you use that BG regularly for PvP and it will be a while before the next promotion. Enchanting will get extremely resource-heavy later on.
- Enchanting and promoting during 2x promotion refund events can actually GET you books! Green items max at one promotion for 20 points, and will refund for 40 during these events. These color items are the ONLY items/tier that give you more than you paid, so during these events if you have a bunch of low level girls lying around late game, feel free to use some resources to enchant every green item and promote them to gain some books.
Spending
- Your first Med Exp pull using gems will have a 3* star, I still recommend saving up for the 10 pull as it saves you gems.
- The bonus double gems (e.g. 500+500 for $5) does NOT count as recharge. In that example, you will only get the 500. The bonus double gems works once FOR EACH TIER. Use that to your advantage if you do recharge.
- Similarly for the monthly gems, while a good deal, you will only get the initial 250 to count as recharge.
- Zhi Yao is pretty strong early on cause of her sheer stats relative to early girls. Gambler is quite strong and useful at all stages of the game as a dps. She is in some ways a higher damage Pandaria for most of the midgame. She’s useful in many game modes as she boasts a considerable amount of damage. If you do recharge, try to wait for a recharge event where you can get a free 3* girl for recharging 980 gems.
- Similarly, when spending gems, try to wait for a spending event where you can get a bunch of free scrolls. 10k gems spent will generally mean enough scrolls for a 3* girl. Better yet, see tip 13.
- The recharge event girl and the spending scrolls girl have overlapped (Elvis, Hottie, Lin Ai, Assassin), and don’t worry if you don’t get them. In a couple months they’ll probably show up as exchange scrolls in one of the game modes. OR SOMETIMES LIKE CAITLYN IT’LL BE REALLY HARD TO GET SCROLLS FOR LATER. YMMV.
- It seems there’s new type of recharge event where tiers of spending will give you more scrolls of a single girl over a period of time. So far there’s been Silvia and Beary in these events, and I suspect these girls will be extremely hard to obtain later. Currently neither are available through any other means.
- The SX vending machine unlocks at VIP9 ($200 recharge) which gives you access to the strongest girls, such as Wukong, Psychic, Guan Yin and Javelin.
- VIP gives you a daily source of raid tickets which saves time in the long run, especially with VIP4 which allows you to do multiple raids at once.
- VIP also doubles log-in bonuses, with higher VIP levels giving you doubles of the later (and bigger) log in bonuses of the month. This is a pretty minor perk.
- In the future, VIP1-5 (and up) will receive weekly boxes of items, with VIP5+ getting the best of the bunch,
- Should you buy the mystic chest? Eh, idk, it’s a toss up. I’ve been buying them a bunch and while I’ve gotten some great purple items, a lot of times it’s been garbage. Note: it’s one of the few ways to get Luna, but it’s extremely rare.
- One of the BEST times to spend, VIP9 or not are the trimonthly-ish events. Everyone gets to buy a BG pack with a couple books and juices and a guaranteed BG for 188 gems. Then you get to buy unlimited packs for 588. This is generally MUCH better than Med 10x pulls cause you have the chance to get Caitlyn and Luna. Caitlyn is extremely strong and probably one of two S-tier non-SX girls, other being Wildtress. Try to save gems and spend during these events.
- VIP9’s during these events get the chance to buy a 4888 pack 3 times to get a chance for old SX girls. This is also extremely important, as some girls are incredibly useful (Javelin especially).
What should I farm???
This is a common question as you slowly unlock each game mode and access to more scrolls exchanges. This will hopefully help answer those.
Elite: Starting out, I’d honestly focus on the early 1 and 2* girls as they’re easy to get and the more girls you have the better. My highest recommendation goes to Lily for Champion reasons, but then Joan and Rosie are also pretty early and serve useful purposes as a healing tank and a debuff tank respectively. Annie once you are able to farm her scrolls is also great. Once you got some of these early girls down and have a comfortable roster, feel free to work towards farming 3*s. I recommend Amazon early here.
Top Floor: Saint is great as she requires less scrolls as a 2* versus Elvis and Succuba. She’s a good glass cannon all around for PvP. Succuba is useful as a defensive support tank, but needs a very cohesive team. Elvis I find extremely useful for Champion cause of her aura purple skill. Dracula is an insane early game off tank. Without burst she’s hard to kill, and her poison cloud makes front and mid lines melt when using her with physical damage dealers. Early on, farm Saint before working towards Elvis and Dracula when purple. Succuba can come later, I honestly never used her. Lin.Ai is a very specific dodge tank that requires a comp and gears post 80. My suggestion is get the first three girls and then focus on getting scrolls for one of them. The later two tanks you can skip (you could pull them later). Saint>Elvis/Drac>Drac/Elvis>Succuba>Lin.Ai. Then work on maxing one of the first three to your liking.
Champion: The easiest of the tokens to farm, and thankfully has the best selection of girls. Get Wildtress. Just stop everything you’re doing and get Wildtress. You can get an early Tenesse as she costs only 10 scrolls and is useful for her buff. You can also get an early Blowie to help with Champion, but only after Wildtress. She’s a great all-around tank and by far the girl you’ll use the most in ANY game mode, from all forms of PvE to PvP (* the release of the SX girl Sun Quan may change this in PvP). Just grab Wildtress and max her to 5*. Litana has the highest physical defense out of any girl, but I personally haven’t seen her used much yet. Muppet is also and extremely useful battle girl with incredible damage output, but only very late Purple/Orange. Get Ten/Wild/Blowie then just MAX WILDTRESS. Then feel free to max the other two and start working on Muppet for late game. Litana comes last probably.
1on1: These are all very specific girls compared to Champion. If you’ve reach 1on1 you’re mid 50’s, so you kind of know what’s going on by now. Angel is a blind + MP giving support with niche use, Witch is used for her massive initial magic damage shield and Karatine is formation disruptor. Phancy is a support healer, but Nurse is a much more general and useful healer. Nurse is absolutely required post Level 80 PvE and has strengths in PvP at those levels too. Early on, feel free to get an Angel or Karatine to just add them to your collection and try them out, but honestly work towards Nurse. Witch you can get in the small vending machine so I highly suggest not buying her scrolls with your rare 1on1 tokens. TL;DR: All meh except Nurse for late game, and don’t get witch.
Guild: Celeste is pretty useless. Hottie is useful for her single target debuff and damage which stacks over a long period of time. So that translates to usefulness in guild chapter fights and Trial which unlocks when someone in your server is at level 80 and you’re at least 60. Assassin seems pretty meh from what I’ve seen, but looks fun with certain AoE comp later in the game. Nagia is pretty damn useful for Infinity trials and has merit in Champion and PvP as well. Flash I’m not sure yet, but she isn’t meta or game-breaking. But then again, none of these girls are really.
I suggest grabbing Hottie and then Nagia, then maxing Hottie.
A sidenote on the Invitation System and how it works:
So the actual game doesn’t describe how Invitations work and I realized neither did I before or anyone that spams this on the FB page or wherever. Especially the FB page with all the shitty photoshops in comments trying to lure people to put in their code as if it’ll add them as a friend in game (It does not). The person’s VIP level doesn’t matter either, even though they advertise it. How it works: Everyone has their own unique code and get bonus gems for people putting their code in. You can only put a code in until you’re level 50 and you can only put in one code.
Here’s the big thing: The system kinda sucks cause you don’t get anything for putting an invite code in.
The person who gets their code put in, does get additional gems as the person who put in the code in progresses through the game (gains X girls, reaches X level, recharges X much).
So you can simply be like “Fuck this shit, fuck you Carolgames, this system is garbage and I’m donezo” and not put in a code, I understand.
Economically speaking however, not putting in a code is just less free gems for someone out there. If you’re playing with friends, I suggest trading codes to put into each for additional gem bonuses. I personally play alone and put in a code of a friendly guildie who helped guide me early levels. Feel free to put someone like that.
For those generous or those that feel like this guide helped a bunch, here’s my Invitation Code for the second and last time: 1003d379309d7
Campaign
You will probably get stuck early on. Especially on the Guan Yin stage. Just keep leveling yourself and your main girl team up and start swapping em as you get better girls. Some stages will requires specific comps cause of anti-magic or anti-physical tanks, but generally the first two stages should be pretty easy and you can just slam the 3rd stage with AoE damage to wipe it. If you’re having trouble, save your interrupt skills to interrupt other girls ultimates. Otherwise, early on, don’t sweat it. You’ll soon be locked out of doing campaign because your level won’t be high enough for certain chapters. There’s no rush to finish chapters until you’re in a guild and guild activities open. Level will be the limiting factor very soon if it already isn’t yet. Chapter 13+ is a pain in the ass. You’ll probably end up using lots of Wildtress/Nurse + Lily/Cait/Lavia/Annie. I hope you have those girls maxed and geared post 80.
Champion
Key Basic Champion tips:
- If you’re gonna fail a stage, lost a key girl or don’t like the way it looks, just pause and reset. This is by far the most important tip.
- Rotate your pool of girls early in easy fights to charge their ults and have them ready for later, harder fights.
- Remember to restart. Have a finger ready to pause. You will need to restart.
- You can borrow a girl from your guildmates. A single girl once a day. This may be the oomph you need to pass that extra stage.
- Did I mention you can pause and restart? You can. You should and you will.
In-depth read:
This is what I believe to be the most important to focus being able to complete regularly in GxB. Why? Champion gives you access to some of the strongest all around girls (read as: WILDTRESS), but more importantly it gives you a large amount of gold each day with the completion of all 15 stages. Through completion you will also get some rare drops of items you will need later as well as some scrolls. The gold, especially during double coin drops will allow you do start max skilling girls as your academy leveling slows down, and importantly as you reach late game, 5* all the girls available in the small vending machine.
Especially important early is that in champion you can get random battle girls that show up in your collection when you haven’t unlocked them comes from clearing random champion stages without notice. As saving up gems for pulls and farming scrolls are both quite tedious, early on, this is a great way to get new girls and build your roster. The more champion stages you finish, more chances of unlocking a girl, which may help you push further in champion.
Early on, you will not be able to complete champion probably. With a small pool of girls, you would want to focus on sustain early on with your free Geisha as the crux of your team. Being able to heal every time her ult is up is no joke. Joan is also a great champion for long drawn out fights against an opponent’s Geisha that heals herself up. Joan’s heal in these sort of situations will outpace the damage dealt, making her quite useful in certain fights.
Once you gain a larger collection of usable girls and some levels under your belt, you will be much higher leveled than your initial fights. Use these easy fights to rotate in some of your other girls to have them charge their ults for later, more difficult fights.
As you progress and level up more thorughout the game, heals become relatively less compared to the HP pools of your girls, and at this point it is about killing your opponents before they damage you. This is where AoE damage dealers with large MP regen and damage mitigators shine. AoE damage dealers like Lily, Amazon, Annie, Cynthia are all key here as they are able to take out opponents before they can respond. By netting kills and with their great MP rate at higher levels/equips, you can easily breeze through teams by hitting ult. Of note here is Elvis and Tenesse. Their later skills respectively lower opponents’ magic resist and buff initial spell power. These will help your one or two main AoE nukers to do their job. AoE disrupts are necessary versus the last couple stages at times, where the opponents will have fully charged ult from the get-go. Wildtress, Haxie, Leona and other disruption tanks are great to interrupt strong ultimates you face. Having a Zhi Yao ult ready for a surefire interrupt of higher level champion stages may also be of help.
However enemies like Saint and Tenesse will do damage regardless.Damage mitigators are those like Witch and Wildtress with their initial shields will protect all your girls from damage as you kill them. Be warned when facing the following with this tactic: Witch, Wildtress, Annie, Karatine. The damage mitigation from opponents is a large counter to insta-nuking them. Annie’s purple skill gives a large magic resist buff to the entire team and Karatine’s initial jump and disrupt may block auto-targetted skills such as Lily’s.
My current base champion team is regularly: Wildtress, Lily, Elvis, Blowie, Annie.
These days I’ve been charging my Physical Damage girls like Saint, Tenesse, Gambler and Boxer in the early stages while the above 4 + Annie just destroy the rest of the stages.
Annie in champion is extremely useful for one-shotting Caitlyns late-game Champion.
I charge most of my other girls, but I regularly rotate in, depending on the composition:
Muppet, Tenesse, Witch, Geisha, Lavia (late game)
Leona and Haxie are good support with their cc. Cynthia and Amazon are good damage dealers as well for Champion.
Top Floor
Colosseum/Top Floor will be a daily source of a handful of gems. Without recharging you have 5 fights per day that have a 10 minute cooldown. The fights are run on auto. While attack power is a rough good measure of a team’s strength, team composition is important as well. Tenesse for her full team buff in these short fights, Saint with her strong AoE ult that also activates death and Wildtress cause of her damage mitigation and cc are extremely common. Many other girls are strong, but will be described more in their respective parts. always try to use all 5 of your tries daily and try to use one right before the cutoff time which is 9 p.m. server time.
Daily rewards are: Handful of gold, books, juice, but also Gems and Top Floor Exchange Coins.
1-On-1
1-on-1 you unlock at around level 55. This is a game mode where there are three 5v5 fights and the best two-out-of-three win at first you will probably want to give up a fight and start maxing out two teams so that you can win two fights. You generally are able to see the first team of your opponent which can help you decide to give up the first fight or not. 1-on-1 gives rewards once a week. I initially recommend unlocking Witch, Nurse, Karatine/Angel in that order of usefulness. Witch requires her blue skill to be any useful and Karatine requires a lot of promotions and gears post Purple to get the dodge she needs to be a sizable annoyance. Nurse is really quite great with the right lifesteal/healing girls, and Angel can be devastating later levels.
The weekly rewards are: Handful of juice and books, but also a decent chunk of gold, gems and 1-on-1 exchange coins.
Workplace
- Workplace maxes out at 10 hours, but check it regularly to minimize loss from raids.
- Scroll workplace can’t be raided so when you unlock it, make sure you have a team working it.
Workplace unlocks at level 42. You can set two teams to farm resources. This includes just gold at first, but later you will unlock workplaces for small exp juices and then random scrolls. Each will also farm gems. You will generally want to set strong teams to defend your workplaces to deter any invaders. A third team so you can farm all three is found in VIP3, which is useful to gain benefits of all three workplaces once you unlock them..
When raiding others, it will cost some gold to find an enemy. Each fight you will have your full pool of girls, so you may throw all your girls at a stronger team through multiple fights to get a win. You will get juice/gold and gems from a won fight, so this can be a solid, albeit time consuming way to gain gems. It seems that scroll workplaces cannot be raided. So as soon as you unlock the scroll workplace you will probably always want a team working it.
Guild
How Guild Chapters work is that they unlock starting from chapter 7 and the guild leader uses guild points to unlock them. Every guild member can hit a chapter twice daily, and the chapters are much tougher and stronger than normal or elite. Your guild works together, but it will take a couple days to complete chapters. For completing a chapter, every member gets 100 guild coins and a bonus for a quick completing. You also get 240 daily for doing any of the guild activities 2 times, but be sure to do all the chapters you can to help your guild finish.
Other uses of guild include getting free stamina daily (10 free, you can buy more, which also gives guildmates the opportunity to get some for free) and lending battle girls that aren’t being used in the workplace. This is a good source of money and EXP as you complete daily mission when resetting them. Stronger girls get a higher salary and you can lend more girls at high VIP levels. Do note, you probably do want your strongest girls working at the Workplace to deter any thieves.
Buy the 50 stamina for 200k gold if you have the money. Totally worth.
Infinity
Stupid doge. You’ll need Luna or borrow a Luna to beat doge most likely. Or for some reason, have a high leveled Witch and Fanny to slowly whittle the low level stages. A late game 1 star Luna with the right team can 3* the final Doge stage.
Each boss changes daily and has a special set of rules on how they’re defeated. Try to defeat at least one stage (scroll back to see levels 1 and 2). It gives you stamina items, which means you basically gain stamina from doing Infinity. The suggested girls seem to be in order of strongest/most useful in decreasing order.
Notes: Revolver makes short work of Monkey King. A good Tangyuan comp is Scythe, Nagia, Annie, Blowie, Lavia but any magic damage will do. Hottie is a must vs Cupid and her alongside Nagia, Muppet, WT and Haxie (or Quinie as she isn’t bad here lol) makes a great team.
Quiz
Your bread and butter for the glorious things that are EXP Juices and Gold. You’ll always wish you could run them more times, so be on the lookout for double quiz events. Ignore the hints of Using Strength and Intelligence Girls. Check your girls to see what kind of damage they do. The physical test mobs will ignore all magic damage (and cc from said damage), while the magic test mobs ignore physical damage. Many ultimates and skills will only do magic damage, especially when you start out, so be aware. Otherwise, fights are pretty simple. Try to organize a tank, a healer if you really need one, and just stack damage of the appropriate type. Quiz might prove difficult until you unlock a decent amount of battle girls with the right type of damage. If you’re having trouble with the later unlocked stages of 5-8 (both unlock together after the trial), I highly recommend Nurse+Wildtress with 3 high damage carries. I ran Elvis/Blowie/Lily/ and Caitlyn/Gambler/Boxer. The first 2 are key in keeping girls alive.
Challenge
A great way to get farm useful gear items. You’ll definitely appreciate being able to get blue, and later, purple (and even orange later it seems) items for a minimal stamina cost. Like quiz, you don’t get girls’ exp or gold for completing a run, but just the drops.
This is the only place where the letter and faction (A, M, P, R) of the girls matter:
Conquering | Allowed Girls: | Days | Drops (as of now) |
Milerra | A, R, P | Mon, Thurs, Sun | Sexy Stocking, Wrench, Speaker, Hatsune Cane, Enuma Elish, Flaming Sword, Mistilteinn |
Rania | A, M, P | Tues, Fri, Sun | Boquet, Steel Rod, Sunglasses, Geass Power, Power Detector, Grief Seed, Mystic Puzzle |
Aladrinns (Hardest) | R, M | Wed, Sat, Sun | Wedding Dress, PAD, AK-47, Riot Shield, Bonecracker, Death Axe, Bronze Armor |
As you unlock later stages with higher academy levels, better and more drops unlock. Challenge simply limits the girls you have and the waves of enemies you face are generally quite high leveled compared to when you unlock them. You will need some girls under your belt in the factions to make a decent team of a tank, damage dealers and perhaps even a support. Once you do, the gameplan is similar to campaign: Have enough survivability/healing/shielding to stay alive and take minimal damage, and have enough damage on your ultimates to kill the opposing BG in the final stage quickly. Once again, use interrupts wisely. Early on, when you don’t have the raw power, that will be crucial in getting a 3 star and allowing you to use raid tickets and not worry about failing.
Do note the Conquering Aladrinns is the hardest, as your pool is limited to Rania and Milerra girls only, and Saint is quite a problem without shielding of some sort because of her ultimate, even when she dies. If you’re having trouble, obtain more battle girls and levels, similar to campaign.
Sky Tower
The only way of obtaining Pet Gear and scrolls as of now, the good thing is that once you clear a stage (even if you use a guidie’s help!) you can quick clear it from then on for free forever. The fights will get insanely hard as you go, and if you’re starting out, just go as far as you can (and maybe borrow a guildie with SX girls [[Javelin]] if you can). Then restart and quick clear every day for those books, food and gear packs! You can open the gear packs by going to your bag and hitting spend for each of the packs. You’ll have a hard time for stages until you get up to certain levels for sure. There’s no stamina cost however and you’re free to retry and retry as much as you want until you pass it.
Pets
Speaking of Sky Tower, Pets are useful to add in fights for PvP and guild. They’re like a 6th member that can’t be hurt. Ross is good for magic comps cause of his MP charge and spell damage aura. Peng peng is free from the puzzle event and great as a mini Tenesse boost. Bobo and Ricky are both very useful for late game trials and PvE for their defensive auras. For PvP I highly suggest Ross right now, for his aura and MP charge, but the others, depending on what you face, are fine too. Farming Dango Clans, especially for Bobo’s purple upgrade (SHE NEEDS 60 OF THOSE COUPONS), will be a bitch, so make sure you can get as many of those champion pet packs from the sky tower daily as you can!
Awakening
Short and sweet: If this is relevant to you, you’re level 90 and know the game in-and-out. Awakening unlocks a 5th skill for certain girls for which it’s available to and you can only awaken one girl at a time. It also unlocks a permanent new icon and visual sprite that you can’t change (you can change the card in the gallery though). It will take a couple weeks as there are three quests you must do, first of which being grinding a unique item drop in an elite stage. This is by far the longest stage. Once you start an awakening quest, you can check the following quests in the Mission box by hitting the Numbered box for the quest to flip from 1 through 3.
Super short Girls Guide (Heavy WIP)
Wildtress, Tenesse, Lily and Blowie are generally really great all around from the get-go and you can’t go wrong focusing resources for them. Same to Gambler if you unlocked her. Saint is great for PvP and Campaign in a pinch. Most 3-star girls early on are worth the effort to help you push your way into higher tiers of champion and PvP and finish campaign.
If you’re starting off and wondering what to farm in elite:
Front line: I recommend Leona which is great later, but Rosie and Joan are pretty easy to obtain and useful early on. Joan and Rosie will both prove useful later on, where they have massive heals and debuffs respectively for guild trials.
Middle line: Lily Lily Lily. I do believe she’s just the best in terms of usefulness for Campaign and Champion. She also proves extremely useful in Trial/Guild battles cause of her Slow/Stun/MP Regen passive and of course, her damage. Annie is also a great early pick up for 30 scrolls. She’s the queen of resets.
Back: Start farming for Amazon scrolls early however. She provides high mixed damage and strong CC.
Girls Tier List (basically just very educated opinions):
This not include SX girls and tbh girls shine here and there with power spikes depending on when it is in the game, cause of their gear. Late game, even trash can be beautiful.
Front:
While the mid and back will interchange for different damage comps, your front will be the cornerstone to bring support to your composition or the rock to build upon (read as: Wildtress).
S: WILDTRESSSS. If you don’t level her and use her for PvE and PvP you’re gonna have a bad time. She is the queen and you’ll be using her basically every game mode you can.
A: Dracula, Boxer, Haxie, Leona. All useful, with Leona being a strong main tank (post purple/3*), Boxer being a strong damage dealer post-purple and Dracula and Haxie being top-tier support throughout most of the game. Ninja will probably be up here from what I’ve heard too.
B: Scythe, Aquarius, Joan, Rosie. Useful support tanks for various reasons. They see some use early to mid game, and Rosie is useful for her debuff in Guild. The first two shine in 80+ late game.
C: Chevalier, Bidenty, Zhi Yao, Succuba, Assassin, Iron Fist, Bud Elf. Niche as the game goes on, but when you start out, these girls do a hefty amount of work. Good to have when starting out for PvP and PvE if you pull them. Succuba is a good support tank with shield and heals.
D: Litana, Lin.Ai, Karatine. Just very niche. They can destroy comps used correctly, and are exchange girls, but of low priority. Lin.Ai shines late.
Trash: Quinie and Fortune. At least Quinie is useful for the DoT trial. Fortune just trash throughout the game. (maybe less late)
Middle:
Lots of strong units, very many different uses. This is the bread and butter damage source of most compositions. Girl strength is HIGHLY dependent on the level/stage of the game. Here are my takes on most usefulness
A: Lily, Annie, Gambler, Blowie, Elvis, Saint. Most if not all of these girls see use every stage of the game. Just very versatile and useful. Lily and Elvis are less used in PvP than the other 4.
B: Lavia, Muppet, Smartie, Cynthia, They do damage. Tbh the first two are top top tier late 80+. Until you can build a team for Muppet post purple and until you get the scrolls for Lavia late, they’re not as good.
C: The rest? Witch and Androi personally have seen use from me more than the rest of the remaining girls, but honestly the rest all do very different things from support to full damage, but have never shined like the above except:
Tier Luna: She’s Luna. You need her for doge. That’s really it.
Rear:
S: Caitlyn. Pray to RNGsus you pull her from an event pack cause she is near necessary for some of the late late game stages from my experience and she absolutely rips compositions not built against her in PvP. One of the two S-tier non-SX girls imo cause of the sheer impact they have on both PvP and PvE.
A: Tenesse, Hottie, Nurse. Tenesse is useful in PvP throughout the game and helps speed up PvE. Hottie is useful for Guilds and trials throughout the game. Nurse is necessary late game. You absolutely need these girls from my experience, which is why I’ll put them as A.
B: Geisha, Amazon, Panda, Wild Girl. Out of the non-cait rear damage dealers, Amazon is HUGELY useful in the mid-game, while Pandaria shines late with her awakening. Nagia can be useful with the right comp. Wild Girl is useful if you have her early, and for trials, while Geisha you will use early game as your sole healer and later late game for trials.
C: Nagia, Angel, Archie? Tbh I really like Nagia, and her no-animation AoE execute. Both Nagia and Angel are pretty niche however. Archie idk as well as I ended up not using her post 30’s.
Tier ????: Maidam, Nun. No experience with these yet. I just have never had a need to use them.
FRONT LINE IN-DEPTH:
Boxer | 3* Agility: Scrolls in Chapters 6/9 or Med EXP Juice |
Boxer is a straight-forward no frills unit. In fact two of her skills are just simply passive stat upgrades, but they’re some of the most important. Thanks to them, she’s a front liner with absolutely massive physical damage. Her blue and purple skill effectively give her an additional 50%ish in physical crit and damage respectively and she has a pretty good health pool and physical defenses. However her spell resistance is extremely lacking. She doesn’t get much in terms of gear to help this weakness, so she is suited as a secondary tank/damage dealer bruiser that works well versus physical damage comps. She survives through lifesteal and her ult can rip through a front line while doing significant AoE CC and damage with her second skill. When facing her, interrupts and magic damage will work wonders. Have a strong tank to solo out any of her damage.
Tiger Strike: Multiple hits front enemies causing multiple physical damageVacuum Wave: Creates a vacuum wave to slow nearby enemies and cause physical damageIron Fist: Passively enhances stats and increases crit rate.Iron Claw: Passively enhances attack. |
Fortune | 2* Agility:Scrolls in Chapters 4/10 or Med EXP Juice |
Hot fuckin’ garbage. Let me take that back. She’ll be useful if you unlock her early as another stun source with Aquarius. She’s doesn’t do a ton of damage. She doesn’t tank very well either. Her only redeeming factor is her blue skill, Trap. It does magic damage and provides an interesting CC where they can’t deal physical damage, move or dodge. Her purple skill increases her survivability with dodge, similar to Karatine. I might be wrong about Fortune. Maybe with a good set of buffs and against the right team her nets and dodge will be amazing. If dodge teams become a thing, maybe she’ll shine. Until then, I wouldn’t bother with her unless you’re just starting out and you were fortunate (haha) enough to pull her. Other support tanks fulfill the role of disruption in most cases better than her, and with more damage or tankiness.
Windstorm: Stuns erryone. No damage.Skyhigh Strike: Swings blade to do physical damage to nearby enemies in an AoETrap: Throws a net and causes magic damage. Enemies in the net can’t dodge, move or deal physical damageMirroring: Passively increases dodge. |
Joan | 1* Strength: Scrolls in Chapters 1/3/5/8, Small EXP Juice. |
Joan is very easy to farm early on and she fills a unique role of a healer/tank. She has absolutely massive single target heals that automatically heal the lowest health member, and it’s a non-ultimate skill, unlike your initial Geisha. All her skills provide different buffs for her team. While her third skill does give an ally a magic damage shield, most of her kit is suited against physical damage kits. That said, she isn’t quite that tanky on her own. She has some good spell resistance compared to many other tanks, but her physical defense and HP is relatively lacking as her STR growth rate is quite low. She is a support tank and fails when she can be singled out or cc’d so she is unable to put shields around her allies. More support than any other frontliner or even most other supports, she is also a godsend in trial and guild fights where sustaining other damage dealers is key.
Divine Domain:Creates a physical damage shield for all allies.Recovery Wind: Heals a teammate with the lowest healthPurity: Creates a single magic damage shield for an ally.Array: Reduces physical damage taken by all allies? Wondering if it’s %. |
Karatine | 2* Agility: 1on1 exchange and Small/Med EXP Juice. |
Karatine is a unique front liner where, if uninterrupted she’ll jump into the enemy team from the start, stun them and begin what she does best: disruption. She can throw back a mid liner to be focused more easily by the rest of your team, and if all goes well, shutting down a heavy dps can absolutely secure a win. She heavily relies on her dodge purple skill to stay alive as by jumping in,she isolates herself and takes focus most of the time. Do note, she does not get a single dodge gear until Purple+3. While I feel right now, she does disruption, and it proves okay at best, at later stages of the game, she might prove to be extremely useful. She does provide a niche use as of now versus Witch teams as her initial AoE stun is physical damage, unlike many other interrupts and stuns currently in the game. She’s fun, she’s fast.
Mind Spell:Releases a ball of energy that does more damage the more skills she has used. It can hit multiple targets.Wrestling: Grabs the nearby enemy and throws them behind Karatine.Smash: Jump to pound ground with physical damage and smash and stun nearby enemies. Activates on the beginning of a fightEvade: Passively enhances Dodge |
Leona | 1* Strength: Scrolls in Chapters 3/4/8, Puzzle event, Small EXP Juice. |
Leona is what you’d think of as a classic tank. She has a stackload of HP and defense and alongside that, a handful of CC and support with very little in damage. To get to her full capabilities, she’ll need her purple skill which greatly increases her physical defenses, and as an initial one star, she won’t cut it when you’re facing 2* and 3* (and later mostly 4&5*s) until you promote her a bit. But otherwise, she gets the job done. Her Ult is used solely for its interrupt mostly, as the damage is negligible. Her blue skill helps lessen the damage she’s taking, especially against heavy physical frontline teams. Constant healing on someone as tanky as Leona can be extremely tough for certain teams to cut through, especially if they have no way of getting to the backline to deal with the damage carries, so Joan can make a very nasty pairing. Overall she’s a great main tank against physical damage teams.
Infinite Aurora:Knocks up/Stuns all enemies, while dealing little magic damage. Aurora: Causes magic damage and reduces an enemy’s defense.Aurora Strike: Causes physical damage to nearby enemies and lowers their ATKAlloy Armor: Passively enhances Physical Defense |
Haxie | 3* Strength: Scrolls in Chapters 10/11 or Med EXP Juice |
Haxie is CC. Her purple skill is a passive STR boost to help her HP and attack, but every other skill of hers stuns in an AoE and does magic damage. In fact, her spell power is as high as her physical attack and she fits the role of a somewhat hybrid damage utility tank role. Her ultimate has a quick animation and stuns in a line while her second skill that activates once in a while will stun all enemies she’s fighting in the front line. Similar to Boxer, she is not a main tank. Her spell resistance is pretty awful, and although her purple passive gives her a lot of needed survivability, many times that still isn’t enough. In Autofights like Top Floor, provided she survives, Haxie (with some luck) could be what you need to stop devastating ultimate.. As a spellcasting tank, she also gets great MP regen, making a wonderful addition for Champion teams alongside her CC heavy kit.
Lava Storm: Releases huge energy to strike all enemies with magic damage and stun them in a line Earthquake: Attacks frontline enemies with magic damage and stuns themTremble: Smashes ground causing magic damage the enemies in a certain area and stunning them Kungfu Master: Passively enhances STR |
Quinie | 1* Intelligence: Scrolls in Chapters 11/12. Shop, Med/Small EXP Juice |
Quinie’s a strange girl. She’s a rare Intelligence frontline girl. Her STR growth is her highest, but most of her skills don’t add any sort of tankiness. Her first skill is a short ranged single target magic damage. Her second skill is her greatest, where she throws burning marshmallows to multiple nearby enemies to effectively poison them over time. She can also buff a random ally’s attack speed, but the animation is quite long. Her final skill is the same as Haxie’s and Wildtress’s where she gains some damage and tankiness through a free STR boost. Her second skill can be quite powerful over time, however, she’s not very tanky and has no real way of surviving through a fight. Maybe she could work as a secondary tank as a high magic damage dealer or support? But at that point, you’d pick someone who can support/do damage better. Might need more time trying her out and maybe she needs more promotions, but right now I’d pass on Quinie.
Vacuum Strike: Interrupts and knocks backs enemies, dealing damage.Barbecue: Strikes multiple nearby enemies to do magic damage over time.Magic Candy: Randomly increases an ally’s attack speed.Kungfu Master: Passively enhances STR |
Wildtress | 2* Strength: Was May 2016 Log in/Med EXP Juice/Champion |
There’s a reason you see Wildtress everywhere. She was given for free and she’s pretty great as an all-around tank that does a little bit of everything. Even as a 2-star she has some decent tankiness, has a large AoE knockback on her ult, a stun, but most importantly she has a large shield on the start of battle to all teammates. This is similar to witch, except the shield is half the size, but more importantly, it stops both physical and magical damage/skills.This is extremely useful for champion, but also helpful to keep teammates healthy in campaign. In PvP, the shield is useful as effective health while also blocking initial skills like Tenesse’s stun. Having Wildtress blue is extremely important, and purple gives her a good amount of tankiness and damage, just like Haxie. She does a little bit of everything in her kit, but all-in-all it makes for a very strong main tank kit.
Brutal Charge: Interrupts and knocks backs enemies, dealing damage.Trampling: Attacks frontline enemies causing magic damage and stunning themBarbarian: Steps into the battlefield first to create a shield to absorb all damage for all allies.Holy Elephant: Passively enhances STR |
