Re:Birth Labyrinth Best Auto Comps

4-3 AUTO comps with high success (requires +5/+6 uncaps on units and good gear):

Leader skill in bold and speed-boosted (highest attack) units in bold.

Bathory/Moa/Dana/Chang’e/Neptune

Bathory (also highest attack)/Syrinx/Moa/Dana/Chang’e

Bathory/Dana/Neptune/Chang’e/Newbie Mona

Newbie Mona/Syrinx/Dana/Chang’e/Eve

Lab 4 can be accessed after clearing level 3. The difficulty increases immensely from stage 3-0 to stage 4-0 and requires different team setups and strategies to deal with the new mechanics. 4-1 and above are mostly geared towards experienced players with well-developed teams and cheesing the dungeon with low uncapped childs can be difficult.

Stage Info

Rewards:

4-0 – 1400 Lab coins, 4-1 – 1540 Lab coins, 4-2 – 1750 Lab coins, 4-3 – 1960 Lab coins

Enemies:

Diablo

Skill 1: hits one target + Taunt + 5 stacks of Skill Damage reduction to self (2nd stage: damage reduction applies to the whole party)

Skill 2: hits 2 targets + Immortality and Fury to self

Drive: hits 2 random targets

Lan Fei

Skill 1: hits target with highest attack power + decreases target attack

Skill 2: hits 2 targets with lowest HP + Heal Block + removes a portion of skill gauge (2nd stage: applies Confusion to one enemy)

Drive: hits 3 random targets and applies bleed

Aurora

Skill 1: hits one target + increases instant recovery amount received for fire type allies

Skill 2: removes all skill damage reduction debuffs from two allies + instantly heals two lowest HP allies

Drive: regen + removes all DoTs from 3 allies

In addition, all the usual Lab buffs and debuffs for the enemies apply, such as vampirism, increased skill charge speed, increased drive gauge charge speed, etc.

Strategies and Tips

All three enemies have relatively high defense (particularly Diablo) which makes DoTs (Bleed, Poison, Curse, Dancing Blade) the optimal choice for taking them down since DoTs completely ignore defense. Stalling to fever, the most consistent strategy for Lab level 3, may work for 4-0 but becomes less viable for the higher difficulties since Diablo can tank an entire fever by himself.

Lan Fei – She’s the highest threat. Her drive does A LOT of damage and in combination with her Heal Block/Bleed can take out multiple units with one drive. You can nullify Lan Fei’s threat by chain CCing her with debuffers like Olga/Moa and stun drives from Chang’e/Brownie to make sure Lan Fei doesn’t get her skills off or you can time Syrinx’s Fortitude, Rusalka/Metis’s Immortality, or big shields from Dana/Epona with Lan Fei’s drive to survive the hit. Heal Block can be removed by Astraea or Makoto, powerful healers who can dramatically boost your survivability. Bringing your own Lan Fei to slow down the drive does not work, since the enemies are immune to all speed debuffs. On 4-2 and above, she also Confuses, which can be dangerous if you are not watching your units’ debuff icons so be extra careful.

Diablo – Diablo can be threatening because of his Fury but mostly he’s just annoying. He’s insanely tanky (almost 9k defense on 4-3) and together with his skill damage reduction shield and taunt, he can nullify your attacker almost completely. His Fury will also return all the damage you did to him back to you, which can almost one-shot one of your Childs if you are not careful and hit into the Fury. Thankfully, Diablo’s kit is extremely abusable with DoTs and CCs. Bleed and Poison and all CCs bypass Taunt, meaning that even though Diablo may tank all of the direct damage from the skill, the DoTs and CCs will still land on their intended targets. This mechanic allows you to damage the other two enemies and makes Diablo less effective at walling. Furthermore, Fury does not return DoT damage so you can chip him down without fear of retaliation. DoTs can also somewhat nullify his Immortality since the continuous damage can tick after the Immortality buff wears off. Be careful of Fevering into Diablo’s Taunt, however, since he will most likely tank the entire Fever and then possibly return all the damage to you.

Aurora – Aurora is not much of a threat by herself. However, if your team lacks firepower, Aurora can be really hard to take down and will sustain the enemy team almost forever. Best plans here are to quickly dispatch her with a strong water Poisoner like Eve or Thanatos, CC her so she doesn’t get her heals off, or use a Heal Block of your own. The AI will rarely use her drive if the other two enemies are up so the DoT removal from her drive is not much of a worry.

Recommended Units and Sample Teams

For this section, I’ll list units I or others have used to consistently clear 4-3 in bold and some possible alternatives italics.

DoT: Bathory, Eve, Jupiter, Cleopatra, Thanatos, Hestia

Speed buff: Chang’e, Newbie Mona, Brownie

Shield: Dana, Epona, Mars

Heal: Neptune, Venus, Maat, Syrinx, Leda, Erato, Bast, Astraea, Makoto, Rusalka, Metis

Debuff: Olga, Moa, Nirrti, Nine, Rita

Special mention: Nicole (Nicole’s insane amount of Bonus Damage – 5600 at max – on her slide that completely bypasses defense allows her to nuke every enemy and make lab 4 a breeze)

Survival Comp

Heal/Lifesteal or secondary heal/Shield/Speed buff/DoT

This team focuses on surviving Lan Fei’s drive by applying shields and heals before the drive and using lifesteal to bypass the Heal Block. Uncaps on the support units are somewhat important to bolster your team’s survivability and crucial on the DoT (main damage dealer). You can borrow a friend’s high uncap Bathory/Eve/Jupiter if necessary for the DoT. Play safely and make sure to have your shields/heals up when you see the enemy drive gauge about to hit 100%. Try also to not fever into Diablo’s taunt.

CC Comp

CC1/CC2 or survivability/Heal/Speed buff/DoT

Enemies are susceptible to some debuffs so you can chain CC them and prevent them from using their more dangerous skills. Olga and Moa are the two best choices. You can use one or both for improved survivability and for making the dungeon less annoying. Speed debuffs do not work so Naias and Lan Fei are not effective. Key trick is to CC Lan Fei with Moa or Olga right before the enemy drive hits 100% so the AI will use a different drive. Dana or Epona can be used instead of a CC to make your team tankier and to mitigate the effect of Heal Block. Speed buff and DoT are necessary to quickly take down Lan Fei and Aurora. Like before, be careful with fevering into taunt. The major weakness of this composition is that it requires high uncaps on the CC units to function consistently.

Hybrid survival + DoT or CC Comp

Bathory (lead)/Speed//Heal/Flex/Flex

Bathory’s lead makes surviving Lan Fei’s Drives a walk in the park, and in combination with healers who can remove or out-heal Bleeds, like Erato/Bast/Snow Miku/Makoto, nullifies most of the threat of the dungeon. The remaining two spots can be filled depending on your own needs and uncaps. High uncap Bathory can do enough damage through her own DoTs to clear before the timer runs out but you can add in additional sources of damage if you are struggling with punching through Diablo’s defense, or CC/shield/more healing to bolster your team’s tankiness. If you don’t have a Bathory, you can borrow a friend’s and if you do have your own, you can stack Bathory leads to further reduce the enemies’ Drive damage.

Soul Carta and Equipment

Offensive stats: Agility > Crit to maximize chances of DoTs landing and to not miss during fever

Defensive stats: Defense > HP to cut Lan Fei’s Drive and Diablo’s Fury damage, the two most dangerous skills

Soul Carta: HP/Def carta (particularly the two Regen boosting carta, Baptism of the Goddess (4 star) & Forbidden Fruit (5 star)) are optimal for new players and for auto. With a Certain Priestess is also incredibly useful for dealing with Lan Fei’s heal block. If playing on manual, more offensive carta like High Jump & Today I’m Nice Moa can help you speed through the dungeon.

Stat manipulation: Lan Fei targets your highest attack unit first so make sure your most valuable unit, usually your primary damage dealer (Eve, Jupiter, Bathory, etc), is not set to highest attack so they don’t get bursted down immediately. Instead, through some tweaking with Soul Cartas and weapons/accessories, try to make tankier units that are more likely to survive hits (tanks and healers) have higher attack. Feel free to unequip weapons if you have to since the majority of your damage will be done with DoTs outside of drives and fever. Proper equipment set-up is key to making certain compositions work.

Notes

If you are going for just one clear of level 4, bring a strong DoT, some form of counter to Lan Fei’s drive, and make sure to not fever into Diablo’s taunt and hopefully you’ll be able to beat it. For auto, building a team with a consistent, strong DoT with proper defensive support and Bathory lead can net decent results.
