Map patrol
Christmas event is similar to the Musical G event. You choose a team and let that team patrol on the maps, and you can use hourglasses to speed it up. Patrol gives you bells, which are your event EXP. Every 1000 event EXP gives you a Parade coin. Parade coin is used for Christmas Delivery. Sometimes where are pop up events on maps that makes you fight enemies, which also gives you Parade coins. Other times the pop up events just let you make a choice for event EXP.
The first round of map is always at 1 star, since it’s the story map. After the first round of map is completed to the last node, you unlock the ability to choose the difficulty of the map you want. The difficulty goes from 1 star to 15 star.
Team Examples
For the 15 star maps, here’s 2 teams you can use as a reference for completing them.
Note: These teams shown used Vic T9 rune, so NA/EU would need a bit more to make up for that difference, since Vic T9 rune is not universal here.
Another note: These are just example teams. There’s no benefit in running only 1 or 2 units, so it’s completely fine to just run the normal 3 unit teams.
-Light shot, damage limitation, reflect enemies- (t12 Miho + t8 Crowe using tanking gear)
-Leader enemies- (t12 Sandra with gear shown)
Christmas Delivery
Once you made progress in the event patrol map and gotten the Parade coins, click on the icon to do the event quest. You will get to choose a map where you want to deliver present to and the sled you want to use. Different sleds have different functions, make sure to check before you choose. There’s 2 different types of sleds.
There’s a total of 3 different maps, and each map has its own ranking system.
Each map can only be done 10 times per day, making it 30 times total across 3 maps per day. If you want to do the same map beyond the 10 times, your favorability gain of the map will be reduced to only 80%. Usually you won’t be able to do that much unless you buying all the hourglasses everyday or saving up everything until the last few days, so don’t worry too much about it.
Each map has its preferred items, which will be written on the middle top of the screen. The preferred items are worth 150 favorability, while non-preferred items are worth only 30-50 favorability. There’s a timer in the map of 30 seconds only, so be prepared when you enter.
Note:points seem to be less for the non-preferred items in NA/EU.
How to play Present Delivery
Now, this is not like your normal “go around the map killing monsters” quests. You have to consume a certain amount of delivery coins in order to start the sled. Then, you roll a dice for 5 delivery coins to determine what will happen:
1-bag space reduce or increase
2-reduce or increase your presents
3-gain 1 random present, or a christmas tree worth 200 favorability
4-double movement count
5-go back 1 space
6-go forward 1 space
(there might be other things that can happen, but these should be most of them)
There’s several different ranks you can get from completing a map. In order to get the highest rank, you need at least 1350 favorability. Here’s 2 ways you can achieve this.
Method 1
If you can roll your dice all the way to God’s Blessing area, and if it has a choice to multiply your favorability by 2 to 4 times, it will be an extremely easy SSS.
Sometimes the God’s Blessing might not have the multiplier. When you start the delivery, before you collect the presents, go to the map to click on the blue spot, which is the God’s Blessing spot, and check if it has a multiplier. If it doesn’t have it, you can change map until it has the multiplier. As long as you haven’t started collecting presents, you can still change maps.
Method 2
Ignore the God’s Blessing, choose the first Sled which gives 9 bag slots.
Then if you can obtain 9 map preferred items, you can gain 1350 points, which will make SSS, but usually that’s not likely. Therefore, you would want at least 5 map preferred items, which gives 750 points. Then if you can get 2-4 random presents and 1-2 christmas trees then you can also get to SSS. Of course, this depends on luck.
Usually the preferred method would be method one if you have more than 4 map preferred items.
Of course, these are just the general methods. This is heavily dependent on how your item pickup and dice roll goes, so these methods might not apply in certain situations. If you don’t land on the God’s Blessing, you won’t be able to use method 1 anyways, so use these at most as a reference.
REMINDER: you have 30 seconds to pick up items in the map, so act quick. Remember what the map prefers so you can pick up as much preferred items as possible.
Also, NA/EU’s coin gain for getting to SSS is 2500, which is half of what CN was getting.
Shop
-There is indeed a secondary shop. It is opened up after 25000 event currency spend. The box you see on the bottom left of the left screenshot is Crowe’s box, which gives you a free copy of Crowe or 60 of her shard if you already have her.
-NA/EU does not have the avatar frame on top left.
-NA/EU has an option to convert 10 parade coins for 200 event currency. This is basically 125 coins for a SSS rank on the event, aka 25 dice rolls. If you are unable to get SSS rank every 3-4 rounds of Christmas delivery, you might want to consider this. Otherwise, you can just ignore it unless you have leftover coins after the event is over.
