Although it might take a bit of work, it is worth doing this quest to unlock musk reef, a secret island in Genshin Impact.
The island is home to mostly level 20 mobs, with a significant supply of ores, like iron or white iron.
Normally, you can only reach this point at adventurer level 20, but getting those levels is a slow process. Luckily for you, there is a way to gain access to the island without waiting until that point. Plus, the area becomes a fast travel point when unlocked, so you can smoothly go back and farm ores if needed.
Step 1
Go to Cape Oath, which is the edge area just east of Dadaupa Gorge. Once there, you should see a large purple portal floating in the air, which cannot be accessed yet. A puzzle will have to be solved before it can be accessed. Start by taking the 3 ghosts to the altar.
Step 2
Look around the area and you should see a small circular stone structure, as well as some enemies moving around.
It is highly suggested that you kill off the enemies first to have no obstructions for the next step.
Step 3
In a bigger radius around the initial stone structure, try and look for blue spirit-like creatures. Once found, you will need to lead them back to the stone structures by “guiding” them in that general direction.
One spirit is almost at the very edge of the area. Just jump up and down near the edge to get it to come inward.
Step 4
Once all 3 spirits have been returned, an air current will appear in the middle of the structure.
Use your glider so you can fly up to the portal, after which you will automatically be transported to Musk Reef.
That’s all there is to it to gain access to this area. A little bit of killing mobs and directing spirits is all you need for early access.
