Introduction:
Valhalla Assault is a usually monthly event that’s is getting its 1st release now in our Global Version. This event is an updated version of the Valhalla Defense event, the original first event where Norn (https://valkyrie-anatomia.fandom.com/wiki/Norn) was released, The Valhalla Assault can be considered as a Global Raid in its essence because of how each player in the game can affect part of how the event unfolds.
There are only 8 stages in this event, they are: 1 Story Stage, 2 for the Red Badge, 2 for the Blue Badge, 2 for the Yellow Badge and lastly, 1 for The Bonus Stage.
To make your daily missions easier, most enemies that appear on the defeat [insert enemy-type] x50 can be found on the stages from this event, there’s a list of all enemies on the stages section.
Enemy Weakness: This event introduces a new type of weakness for enemies, the third one, now besides the element-type and the monster-type, there’s now the weapon-type weakness and in this event based on the stage you’ll see enemies weak to Light Swords, Heavy Swords and Staffs (Sorry Bow users), depending on the battlefield. Besides this new weakness, all the enemies in this event are weak to Dark-Element and Fire-Element.
Another new feature on this event is the addition of a new Crystal that may drop from enemies, this is the Red Crystal, it’s used to increase your Contribution Points (more on that later) in the event, just like the XP and Gold Crystals, it can double your results if you reach the max drops (100%). This is extremely important in this event because of the ranking system, any mall difference will matter as you need to run the stages of this event so many times.
To make some things clearer, the Red Crystal can drop from any of the circumstances as the XP and Gold Crystals, that is, when the enemy is airbone (in the air) or on the floor (downed or defeated) making them a little easier to drop. One of the best strategies is to send Caradoc to attack a defeated enemy last, (or any high hit-count Character) as all 14 hits will have a chance to drop Red Crystals.
The final drops will show at the Battle Results Screen:
The Red Crystal Drop Rate also Increases as your Hit Number increases (just like with the other Crystals) you can see it on the top of the Purity Gauge.
Badge Currency and Gold Odin Medals
There’s 4 types of currency on Valhalla Assault, there are the common Red, Blue and Yellow Badges, and the special and rare Gold Odin Medal.
Each of the 6 main stages can drop Badges, being 2 stages tied to a badge color, being Blue, Yellow and Red.
Each Stage has a fixed drop of Badges, but you can raise your drops by 2 means:
- By using Beckoning Characters, gives more you more badge drops for :
The Beckoned Characters can grant you different Bonus Drops such as +15 or +30. - By Raising the Level of the Battlefield, each level will give you 2%+ drops on your base number.
The Gold Odin Medal is a special currency that can drop from the Bonus Stage (more on that later).
Contribution Points
They are the points used to calculate your ranking in the event, you get contribution points by defeating enemies on the Battlefield, each enemy gives a certain amount of points, there’s a special enemy, the Slime (formless) that may appear to you when doing battles, if a single one appears you can get as much as 424 Contribution Points (at 100% Red Crystal drops), against the common 92 (for the second stage of each battlefield), when a Slime appears, it’s totally recommended to try to reach 100% Red Crystal drops for max. performance.
[Slime]
Further Increasing your Contribution Point Drops:
On the Divine Weapon Menu, you’ll find the Event Weapons, they carry the “Slayer” characteristic, they can multiply the ending results of your battles, drastically increasing the Contribution Points you receive:
If you manage to summon any of the above Weapons, you can get up to 500% multiplier if you Limit Break it to the Max (5 times). The 2 weapons will also deal more damage in the event
To receive the effects, simply equip the weapon in your Main or Sub slot of a Character that you’ll use in Battle, Weapons from Friends won’t work. Note that you can stack the slayer effect of these weapons multiple times (can go even higher than a 10x multiplier) if you so want to. They are necessary to reach top rankings, but you can still easily get the best rewards in this even if you chose to skip them.
The UI:
Once you click on the event, you’ll be presented to this screen:
#1 Starting Point
This is your starting point, your first mission starts here:
The Stage 1: Valhalla Assault is just a story related stage meant to explain the story behind the event.
The Bonus Mission: A special stage that you need 10 Bonus Mission Ticket that drops from any time you beat any of the other stages to enter (not counting the Valhalla Assault 1).
#2 Battlefield Plains
This is the Blue Badge Assault, once you click on it, you’ll see this screen:
- Battlefield Plains: It’s the place where the stage occurs (visual only)
- Lv 6: means the current Lv based on global contributions, this level is affected by all player’s performance in the event.
- Item Drops +%: This affects the drops from the event, the higher the value, the higher will be the drops.
- Assault Gauge: The Bar starts at 100% once it reaches 0 you can raise the Lv. of this Assault, thus getting better drops. There’s some rules on how to raise the level, as it can get locked (as it is on this screen) if players don’t play the other Assaults. Basically, there can only be a difference between 2 lv. Between Assaults, till it locks, to be able to Lv. the specific Assault you’ll need to shorten the difference between then:
Ex: Blue Lv 6, Yellow Lv 4 and Red Lv 4.
Blue will be locked till Yellow AND Red get to Lv 5 at least.
The game helps you understand when an Assault Quest is locked by changing its color to blue and adding the lock image to the center, on this picture above, the Blue Assault Quest is locked.
- Beckoned: All Assaults have 3 different beckoned Characters what will receive bonus stats for the stages and a fixed increase in drops. For each beckoned Character you’ll get a fixed bonus drop being +15 or +30. (non-affected by the Assault Lv.) It’s worth to note that only your own Characters matters for the bonus in drops, but the bonus DO work for the support Characters you bring in.
- Item Drops: The Badge that will drop from the Event, ass this is the Blue Badge Assault, that means you’ll be getting the Blue Badge as a drop.
- Select Quest: This option leads you to the actual stages on the Assault (to be listed later).
#3 Battlefield Forest
This is the Yellow Badge Assault, once you click on it, you’ll see this screen:
The same rules apply to this one.
#4 Battlefield Ruins
This is the Red Badge Assault, once you click on it, you’ll see this screen:
#5 Currency Panel
This panel shows your current drops from all the Assault stages, you use these drops on the Exchange Booth (#5) shop to trade for rewards in this event:
The first is item is the Gold Odin Medal, you can them by:
- Random drops from the first battle on the Bonus Stage
- By ranking on the event, check your rank on the item #7
- By contribution points in the event, check them on item #8 you need at least 100.000 Contribution points to get all free Gold Odin Medals, there’s 450 for you to get.
#6 Contribution Pannel
The first option will show you your current rank for the Contribution Ranking, at the end of the event you’ll be rewarded based on your performance:
- You need to reach at least 10.000th place at the rank to get enough Gold Odin Medals to change for the Norn Artifact. (but you still need rings to upgrade it to lv 10)
- You need to reach at least 5.000th place the rank to get enough Gold Odin Medals to change for the Norn Artifact AND still have enough medals left to change for rings (without relying on any outside resource for it)
Obs: The Gold Odin Medals will remain in your inventory for next Valhalla Assault events so you can get Norn or any future similar Character if you don’t manage to get the needed amount by the end of the event.
The second option shows you how far you are on the Contribution Rewards, and this is a crucial thing to understand, while there was a lot of panic because people wanted to get all the contribution rewards without the Event (Slayer) Weapons, the correct mindset here is to determine your aim, all the rewards can be broken into 3 sets:
- Aiming for good rewards/less efforts, also known as aiming for 100.000 points.
- Aiming for best rewards/medium effort, also known as aiming for 170.000 points. The difference here is more about a 7★ Weapon Hammer of each type and 400 Gems.
- Aiming for everything/heavy investment. This is ONLY for those players that don’t mind to invest on the Event (Slayer) Weapons and want to aim to the top, the added rewards are non-impressive to say at least, and must be interpreted as an added bonus while you’re aiming for the top rankings.
The best rewards are within the 100.000 points range, and that’s reachable by ANY PLAYER with as low as 15.000 Might. You can simply farm the Raid Stage (the first stage for each color) in the Event and go to the Bonus Stage when you get 10 of the Bonus Stage Tickets. With a little more effort, like using all your available AP you can also hit the 170.000 contribution points if you focus only on this event. So that leaves the stuff beyond 170.000 points to a part of the players that want it and don’t mind investing on it. Just don’t think F2P players can or should aim for getting the Event weapons as it depends on too much luck, and you still need to limit break them to reach full potential and bonus. To better illustrate the table, I used different colors for the 3 “tiers” so you can easily see what you’re getting/missing out.

#7 and #8 Current Rank and Contribution Panel:
This is meant for easy checking on your current ranking (#7) and contribution points (#8)
#9 Exchange Booth
Clicking on it will send you to the shop:
This is the Artifact that you need to get Norn, a must for those that want her.
Rings are needed to upgrade Norn Artifact to Lv 10 for Tribute.
- You need only 1 Bronze Ring to reach Lv 10.
- You need 2 Iron Rings or just 1 if you get a Great Success to reach Lv 10.
- You need 8 Wooden Rings or 5 if you get a Great Success to reach Lv 10.
- You can also combo 3 Wooden Rings + 1 Iron Ring (if you already have 3 from other source) to reach Lv 10.
The best farmable item to trade, this is should be your first priority, don’t get the other Awakening Amber that costs 360 Gold Odin Medals.
Awakening Pear is good for those without a full 6★ Weapon squad, and still useful to make many squads to ease the auto option for Seraphic Gate.
The Silver Ticket is more useful in my opinion as you can pull from any banner by using it, they are a low cost and high priority item. The 2 Gold tickets is not even enough to make a Gold Summon, so skip or leave to the end of the event with leftover badges.
Nameless Books are just not worth; they have a low priority.
The Small Stamina Pot has a high priority, even if you don’t plan to use it in this event.
or or
Hammers of 5★, 4★ and 3★ have a good value, especially the 5★ and 4★ ones.
Have Zero priority and should only be traded when there’s nothing left to trade (leftovers)
Getting the Best Items!
If what you want is:
- All the 5★,4★ and 3★ Hammers from all weapon-types
- All the Awakening Ambers and Pearls
- All Stamina Pot
- All Silver Tickets
You’ll need:
x 53.700
x 30.480
x 18.540
as you’ll probably have too many Red Badges left when the event ends, you can use them for any combination left, probably getting some Books.
#10 Is the Help Section that may or not help you
Preparation:
Fortunately, this event still binds itself smoothly with the Nameless Flower event, as the enemies are weak Dark-Element and Fire-Element, while still didn’t had a Fire-Element Weapon Banner, we can take advantage of our Dark-Element and Nameless Flower just gave us 2 Dark Element Short Swords.
They are:
and
Recommended Characters:
Light Sword Users for this event:
[Sennah] [Cloe] [Sadamitsu] [Liu]
6★ Hrist, is the Event Weapon for this Even Divine Weapon Banner, it will deal more damage and give you more contribution points, the other good Weapons are: 6★ Schveltlight [for Heal], 6★ First Battle Sword [for Heal], 5★ Onyx Faulkatra and 6★ Falkatreios.
Besides the above beckoned Characters, there’s one other Character that truly shine on this event and he is [Caradoc], he can help you with Red Crystal drops, he can also use any of the above weapons.
Bow Users:
[Lenneth F] [Nachi]
The 6★ Brutal Reaper is the Event Weapon for this Even Divine Weapon Banner, it will deal more damage and give you more contribution points, the other good Weapons are: 6★ Elhanan’s Fingertips [for Heal] 5★ Apocalypse Bow and 6★ Resenter.
Heavy Sword Users:
[Arngrim] [Thaila]
The 6★ Volkblaze, 6★ Blainn or 6★ Tyrfing are recommended.
Staff Users:
[Freya] Best Staff is the 6★ Apocalypse, 6★ Evil Wing [for Heal] or the 5★ Meches [for Heal].
Having Problems?
In this event the best strategy is to kill your enemies slower, so you can make them drop as much crystals as possible, especially when there’s Slimes on the fight, this is easy to keep if you’re using Caradoc against the common enemies before the Boss stage, but once you get to the Boss stage you’ll need some good Healing Source for long battles, I’ve listed the recommendations as [for Heal] above, usually just bringing the 2 free 6★ First Battle Swords can be enough to Heal your party while you’re farming the Red Crystals on the boss stage, but if you’re failing, just bring even more Heal, Skill Damage from Weapons is not important here.
As previously stated, an alternative strategy is to focus only on the Raid stages as they cost less AP to beat and thus will give you more Bonus Tickets, the results will vary from player to player, but the difference may not be that high.
Stages:
Before we go into detail for every stages in Assault, there’s some important stuff to note:
- All Raid Stages give the same XP, Gold and Rank.
- All Capture the Front Line Stages also give the same XP, Gold and Rank.
- Using beckoned Characters will give you +15 (fixed) drop each when used, support Characters won’t count.
- Caradoc is a recommended Character in all stages due to high Hit-Count to help with Red Crystal drop.
- You can opt to only farm the Raid stage to get Bonus Mission Ticket and focus your Contribution Points on it, takes way less time/effort and have similar results (probably just a little less).
Valhalla Assault:

There is no fight here, just grab your 60x Gems free.
Blue Assault:
[Senna +15] [Liu +30] [Sadamitsu +30] are beckoned for this stages.
Both Liu and Sadamitsu gives +30 Badge Drops, while Senna gives only +15.
You can opt to sub one of them for Caradoc to make it easier to get red crystal drops. I recommend subbing Senna for Caradoc.

Update: As informed by u/BoswerLK you can retire from Bonus Mission and keep trying for Gold Odin Medal drops on the first fight, may be worth if you have the time.
