EVENT GUIDE
This is a strategy guide on how to play events, rank in events, and play revival events in Ensemble Stars. It is not a guide on how to play Ensemble Stars itself. If you would like to know how to play the game in general, there is a masterguide on Reddit and on the Wiki. Since Enstars Music will be coming out soon, I would like to point out that this event guide is tailored to Enstars BASIC. The gameplay for the rhythm game is still unknown at this point after all.

HOW TO PLAY
BASICS:
Event Revival Event
Events last for 10 days (3 PM JST on the first day, 10 PM JST on the last day), and then are followed by a 5 day rest period. During the rest period, all normal and daily jewel courses cost half the AP. You can also participate in DreamFes during this time on the first rest period of the month, or participate in revival events during any rest period. (*Note that you cannot join dreamfes and revivals at the same time)

- Events always start on the 15th and last day of the month and end on the 25th and the 10th of the next month respectively. Basically, there are two events that happen every month.
Events themselves are pretty simple:
- Play producer courses
- Complete lives
- Get points
- Get rewards
Events focus on lives, these pop up when you play a producer course. The rate of appearance of lives is higher in event courses than in normal or daily jewel courses.
To play a live when it pops up, press the blue button to immediately go to the Live. The red button will dismiss the Live, and the white button is like saying “okay, I’ll do that later”.

For lives, you can spend 1 LP to use the first row of your team. 2 LP for 2 rows with a 1.5x boost. 3 LP for all rows with 2x boost.

This is the official link for the events page. It is available from the first day of the event and the important thing here is that you can view card info. This will be useful for you if you want to see whether the cards will be worth it. (Most especially if you plan to rank or max a card)

This person on twitter keeps track of the 5* borders for T5 and T1. There is an update per day of the event (every after 12am JST), and after event before the calculations come in, so you can see how you do and anticipate the end borders by comparing it with past events. (If you are on the Enstars ENG discord server, the T1 and T5 charts are linked via bot commands)
RESOURCES:
AP & LP
LP is definitely your main resource during events as you use them for the lives. So you want to make sure that you make the most of both your AP and LP.
AP restores every 3 mins.
LP restores every 30 mins.
The max AP you can hold increases as you rank up (by rank 100 it stops at 200 AP), but your max LP cap is always at 5.
Items (*Note that Items can sometimes have expiry dates. They last in your inventory until 4 days after an event ends)
- Konpeito (Expiry)
These come in 3s and they each restore 1 LP
- Potari Sweat/Energy Drink (Expiry)
This restores 5 LP
- Yakisoba Bread (Expiry)
Fully Restores AP
- Ame-chan (No Expiry)
Same as Konpeito, but does not expire
- Lemons (No Expiry)
Same as Potari Sweat, but does not expire
- Bento (No Expiry)
Same as Yakisoba Bread, but does not expire
- Live Cyalume (No Entry)
Increases the appearance rate of Lives once for a producer course. (No matter what course you use it on, a random live will appear for every turn)
LIVES:
Live Teams:
Teams used for Lives are separated by category:
- Dance (Red)
- Vocal (Blue)
- Performance (Yellow)
Each category will only take the card’s strength in that certain category.
To set up the teams, it is easier to press the “Osusume” Button/Recommended Button (White Button at top right of the box) And then save it with the gold button right below it. This feature places the strongest cards you have for those categories. However, you can still manually edit the teams by clicking the gold button next to each team.
Each Live has its own category, so playing that Live will use the team of that category as well.
Types of Lives
- Normal
- Rare
- Emergency
There are three types of Lives: Normal, Rare, and Emergency. Through the courses, either normal or rare lives will pop up. You can tell them apart because the Rare Lives have yellow stickers at the top-left of the box.
After doing a normal/rare live, an Emergency Live might pop up. These have red stickers and they only show up after doing a live. These are the hardest to do because not only are they stronger, they also come after you’ve used your LP for a live, so that means you already start with a handicap. However, you get a lot more points for less LP.
There is another set of lives that only become available at the halfway point of the event. People call these the “Second Challenger” Lives. They come in Normal and Rare and are a little stronger than the first ones. (More tips regarding these, see>)
Leveling Lives
Lives have levels. The higher the level, the stronger the live, the more points it gives.
Normal Lives: LV 45 Max | (Second Challenger) LV 30 Max
Rare Lives: LV 30 Max at 500,000 people
Second Challenger Rare Lives: LV 20 Max at 750,000 people
Emergency: LV 15 Max at 1,000,000 people
When you complete a Live, it levels up. If you complete the Live but you use too much LP, then it will level down. This is to ensure that you won’t be too overwhelmed and then you will just be stuck on what I call a “level loop”. Example, if you can only beat a LV 25 Rare Live, then it will level up to LV 26. But if you cannot beat LV 26, it will go down to LV 25 again and the cycle will keep going until you get strong enough to beat LV 26.
Max LP you can use to level a Live: (using more LP will level down your live)
Normal: 2 LP
Rare: 3 LP
Emergency: 5 LP
Time Limit
Lives have a time limit. You have to complete the Live within that time limit or else it will just disappear. (時間 is for hours, 分 is for minutes) When you go to the live screen, there will be a clock at the top left in HH:MM:SS.
Normal Lives: 2 Hours
Rare Lives: 1 Hour
Emergency Lives: 10 mins.
THE GAME PLAN
REQUIREMENTS:
If you want to obtain the points 5*, then all you need is a team that can complete a LV 30 Rare Live with only 3LP. How strong of a team do you need? 250K, give or take.
But does this mean that a beginner cannot get a 5*? YOU DEFINITELY CAN!
- There is a support card system which is really only useful for people with teams below 214k in team strength. Otherwise, do not use it. You can add this card to your team for the entire duration of the event. (but only for events)
- A LV 30 Rare Live requires 500K to complete. Using up 1 LP will use the first row of your team. 2 LP will use up the first and second with a 1.5x bonus. Using 3LP will use 3 rows of your team with a 2x bonus. Additionally, you can make use of unit skills which boost strength, or rely on your cards activating random bonuses. You can probably beat it with your team strength at only 235K without any unit skills. Less if you do.
PREPARATION:
During Events (That are not so special to you)
- DO NOT USE ITEMS!
- Save the items for events where you want to rank in. There is no need to use items to get a copy of the points 5* with the minimum strength requirement.
- You remember that most items you get from events have expiry dates? Well, here is a tip to extend their life:
- When you unlock them as prizes, DO NOT CLAIM THEM FROM YOUR PRIZES! Even when the event ends, you can still claim prizes until the next event is released. If you don’t claim them, they will come to your gift box after about a day or so. This means they can last even longer!
- Once you claim them, KEEP THEM IN YOUR GIFT BOX. They can last up to 30 days in your gift box. (After the 30th day ends in JST, that item goes bye bye) Meaning they can last for two whole events after you get them. Then just take them out when you are going to use them, or before they expire.
- If you do happen to take an item, make sure you use it in the event you are in or else it will just expire 😉
- You can save up to 3 EVENTS WORTH OF ITEMS (depending on the number of days in a month because if it has 31 days, then it will not make it to the third event) which can help you a lot for events that you like. (However, you will have to claim the first events worth of items on the first day or else it will expire in your gift box)
- If you happen to be doing a revival event (which you may use the revival events section as reference), then that can give you additional items. Revivals can stay active for at least 2.5 months. You can keep your prizes unclaimed all throughout and claim them at anytime that the revival is still active. Thus you can keep them for emergencies.
REST PERIOD:
- JEWEL, DIA & STAR MEDAL FARMING
- When there are no events, AP cost is halved this is a good opportunity to farm the courses for all sorts of materials. Not that you need to, but if you do then this is the best time, aside from Sunday grinding during events.
- Star Medals: The game has recently implemented the star medal shop and you can now grind for star medals to buy rainbow keys and old limited event cards. You get star medals from doing any producer course. When a pet pops up in a room, go to that room and they will drop star medals.
- Wataru’s Dove – 1-4 medal (stays for 7? turns and goes randomly to rooms)
- Daikichi (Mini Shiba Inu) – 3-7 medals (stays for 5 turns and always goes to the room you were in for the previous turn)
- Leon (Corgi) – 10-15 medals (stays for 2 turns and doesn’t switch rooms)
- Wataru’s Dove + Daikichi – 10-12
- Daikichi + Leon – 35-38
- Having more boys in the room increases the possibility of having a higher drop.
- In fever mode, they will drop twice as many medals.
- It is best to grind for these medals during this time, or on event Sundays wherein you are not ranking. During event Sundays, it is best not to care too much about catching the pets and just focus on tapping.
- Dia: Courses give one dia for every mission accomplished (the trophies) and for every set of mini events witnessed (the flags). Since AP cost is halved, it is easier to go through the courses without worrying about you AP.
- Jewels: If you are not grinding for star medals, then you can use your AP on management. It gives you more jewels than the daily jewel courses (all except for small jewels that you can quickly get more of by grinding manually with a card that boosts small jewel drop rate – a.k.a most 3-4* cards).
- This is no longer as important since AP cost is not halved with management and you could just use it during events on non-Sundays if you aren’t ranking in insane events. But if you don’t want to grind, just dump your AP here.
- Note: Sunday does not boost jewel rates. Instead it give you 2x Exp. You don’t need to level up much when there are no events, so you can use this day to get diamonds from the normal courses. Of course, if you were in an event (most especially a revival event), this day is Heaven.
- JOIN DREAMFES
- During the first rest period of the month, a DreamFes will be held. It is like an event version of the tournament.
- To join DreamFes, you must PRE-REGISTER. Pre-registration happens during the event period right before the start of DreamFes, since DreamFes will happen right after the event. Click the second button (It will be purple) and then choose the category you want to join, either A1, B1, S3, S2, S1.
- Once DreamFes actually starts, JUST. KEEP. PLAYING. Even if you keep losing the match, you still get points. JUST DO IT. Get them prizes. These prizes are the ones that do not expire so they are AMAZING.
- How To Play: It is the same as the league, except every time you beat an opponent, you earn points. It is like an event, except you use your LP to battle other people’s teams.
- And try to rank (you don’t need to refill your LP with resources). Only a few people join dreamfes, and most of them don’t bother ranking. This makes ranking first place easy and you can get 2 extra lemons as a prize. DO IT.
- You don’t need to use items. The amount of prizes you get isn’t worth it. So if your items are expiring during the period, just use it during the event or on a revival.
- If you are intent on getting more points, then you can grind the 3B course or the Sunday course to rank up for more LP, but there is no need to waste bread.
- LEVEL UP BEFORE THE EVENT STARTS
- Have your LP at max 5/5. Then Level-up and it will turn into 10/5. Then, get close to leveling up (maybe around 400-500EXP before you level up) RIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT. They day before, do two 8 hour management sessions as well and do not claim them. Afterwards, all you have to do is wait for your AP to refill back to max. (You can also leave 8 hour tasks on Management as an extra boost for ranking up)
- If there is a Sunday during rest period, then you can use the sunday to do all this, and level up once more while at max AP to have your AP at 400/200 (again for an extra boost to rank up)
- Events start at 3 PM (JST) Once the event starts, make sure to use the excess LP before you level up again, or else you waste the rank up refill. LP WILL ONLY STACK UP TO 10/5 LP
EVENT TIME:
- DO. NOT. WASTE.
- THIS IS THE GOLDEN RULE OF EVENTS
- USE YOUR LP/AP! Don’t let your LP or AP (MOST ESPECIALLY LP) sit there without being used. DO NOT LET IT STAY MAXED. When it is maxed or overflowing, it obviously doesn’t refill, so you are wasting the time wherein it could be refilling to give you more LP/AP. LP IS LIFE.
- LP refills every 30 minutes. Set timers/alarms and give yourself an allowance of 5-10 minutes before your LP is full. This way, you have time to find a live and use your LP before it hits Max.
- Some people will tell you to do this even at night, but I say it is fine to get some sleep as long as you play diligently in the day.
- On the other hand, do not waste your items. It is best not to use items so that you can save them for more crucial times or events. But let’s say you really like this event and you are willing to use items for it in order to rank (refer to the ranking section). You don’t need to use items to get to the 5* points card if your teams are strong enough to do a maxed rare live for at least 3 LP
- Say that you don’t have enough LP to do a Live. You have the option to wait for it to refill instead of immediately using your precious items.
- DO NOT USE MORE LP THAN NECESSARY! Say you can satisfy 480,000 people with 2 LP, but you need to satisfy 500,000 people. Try it with 2 LP. Aside from unit skills, your cards will randomly get boosts. You can expect around a 10k boost for 1 LP, 20k for 2 LP and 30k for 3 LP, but do not rely on this. However, it doesn’t hurt to try. If it fails, then you will just end up using the number of LP that you would have anyway. If it succeeds, you save an extra LP!
- DO NOT DO NORMAL LIVES
- Always go for Rare Lives. Never do the Normal Lives, they are not worth the LP and give you so little points. Just keep doing the Rare Lives, and occasionally, the Emergency lives if you have the LP or can use items for it.
- Say goodbye to Eichi with the punch… You see this^ SAY NO.
- And hello to Eichi with the balls…. You see this^ SAY YES…. Maybe
- Why maybe? There are three Rare Lives: the two at the start, and the second challenger that comes at the halfway point. DO NOT DO THE SECOND CHALLENGER. Not unless your team is at least 375K strong. This is because you will usually have the first two Rare Lives at Max LV by now. If you cannot beat the Max LV for the second challenger (750K), then it is not worth spending your LP to level up a new live from scratch.
- IF YOU ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO BEAT THE SECOND CHALLENGER WITH 3LP: Focus on 1 Rare Live at the start (whichever one you are strongest at), and then do only the second challenger Live when it comes out. The ratio of LP used to points gained is the same as being able to beat the initial Rare Lives with 2LP.
- if you have a team that is stronger than the rest (lets say your vocal team can beat a LV 30 Rare Live with 2 LP, but your other teams need 3 LP). Focus on doing only the Live wherein your team is strongest, and therefore, you use less LP.
- You also get the benefit of having a maxed Live earlier and save LP, but it is harder to do since finding 1 type of Live every time is like a needle in a haystack.
- MAX YOUR RARE LIVE
- Try to max out your Rare Lives as quickly as possible… I don’t think I need to explain why? You just get more points, alright? You can do this casually within the first 2 days, most especially if you are only focusing on 1 Rare Live.
- Rare Lives Max at Lv 30 with 500,000 people to satisfy. The Second Challenger Rare Live is at Lv 20 with 750,000.
- MAKE THE MOST OUT OF YOUR CARDS
- In order to make a dent in an event and get those big prizes, you need to beat the Lv 30 Rare Lives. So your teams have to be around 250,000 of strength. Or, 235,000 at the very least. So here is how to make your teams stronger:
- Use jewels on the idol roads of limit broken 3* cards. What? I know that sounds insane to waste your precious jewels on 3*s, but hear me out. A fully limit broken 3* is even stronger than a single 4*. DO IT. Look:
- Do you see that my strongest dance units are actually 3*s? The other two vocal cards are only there because they are boosted at the moment. (I will get to that in a moment)
- Even if you do not reach all the 3*s to max the card, Lives can actually drop a copy of the card it features. (Yes, that includes the 4* being featured in the emergency live) Luckily, drop rates have increased and so it is a lot easier to get maxed copies of the 3*s.
- When using jewels in Idol Road (which you want to do for all your cards that you will be placing on your team), UNLOCK ONLY THE NODES THAT MATCH THE CARD’S CATEGORY. You won’t have enough to unlock them all for all the cards. But you only need the ones that match the category that the card is strongest at. Eventually, you won’t use cards in your Live teams that are not of that category, so there is no use in having a vocal card with relatively okay performance stats.
- You can also take advantage of unit skills. After pressing the recommended button for your Live teams, you can rearrange the order to activate certain unit skills (if possible) But remember, unit skills only boost a certain category so having a Performance up skill on a vocal team is useless.

- And so we get to the boosted cards I was talking about earlier. Each event comes with a gacha. If you happen to get cards from that gacha, their stats are boosted for the duration of the event. This can be a big help, but you aren’t always guaranteed a featured card, so do really think about whether you pull or not.
- Each card is boosted by +100% with a single copy. A 5* will have an additional points boost +4%, while a 4* will boost points +2%. These percentages increase dramatically if you obtain more copies of a card. If you happen to get all the featured cards, they also give a nice unit skill when used together
- Note: 5-4* Cards will only boost points if they are on the team that you have used to complete the Live.
- Do Well In ENCORE
- It can boost your points A LOT
- Try and GET THE BOUQUET (if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity) it will always give you an additional 1,000 pts!
- A good rule of thumb is that you can just tap the first two pictures that come out. The first two will never be blank. And then try to get the pacing and let the “clicking sounds” be your guide. (You can subconsciously memorize a card and tell when is the next time it will pop up)
- How to do emergency lives
- With a weak team, it is not advisable to go after emergency lives unless you can complete them with at most 5 LP (but you will only be gaining more points over LP spent if you can complete it in 4LP or less). There is no need to fuss over doing an Emergency Live if you don’t have the LP for it, but if you do after ranking up, then go ahead.
- Let’s say you cannot 2LP Rare Lives yet (but you are very close to), so much so that you can 4LP Emergency lives. Here’s what you do:
- Get your LP to almost 5LP (with only 10 minutes or so to spare). Find a Rare Live and only spend 2LP on it. Wait for your LP to refill to almost 5LP again (around 30 minutes) then use the 1LP to complete the Rare Live. If an emergency live pops up, you have enough time to refill your LP to 4 and complete the emergency live. If an emergency live doesn’t pop-up, then it will only take another 30 minutes for you to try this again.
- Let’s say you cannot 2LP Rare Lives yet (but you are very close to), so much so that you can 4LP Emergency lives. Here’s what you do:
- SPAM THE SUNDAY COURSE
- DO NOT DO MANAGEMENT ON SUNDAY
- Just keep doing the Sunday daily course. It will give you 2x EXP so you will keep ranking up, and thus you can keep refilling your LP.
- The only difficulty is balancing getting lives vs. grinding for exp. Lives do not appear often in non-event courses. So this is what you do: Just keep doing the Sunday course. Everytime you rank up and your LP refills, you can do an event course to find lives until you have at most 4/5 LP left so that time flows again. Then you can continue to do the Sunday course. However, if you are grinding Sunday fully for ranking, see the ranking section on how to approach Sunday grinding.
- Since you will not be using your bread to grind the Sunday course, you have time to spare to wait to refill 1 LP before ranking up. Ranking up will add an additional 5 LP so it will definitely fill your gauge to max or over, thus resetting the refill timer. You don’t want to waste the time it takes to refill AP.
- Also, LP can only overflow until 10/5 LP. This means that even if you have 6/5 LP before you rank up, it will only refill up to 10/5 LP. Meaning it is more efficient to have at most 5/5 LP before ranking up (though having less is ideal), so don’t forget to look for Lives.
- If you are not ranking, you can take your time and use the Sunday course to farm star medals.
- What to do when there is a birthday during an event:
- It is inevitable for most birthdays to land on event days. However, birthday courses count as “event” courses, so they have the same appearance rate for lives as the actual event course.
- In other words, instead of doing the event course, you can use the birthday course to find lives.
- However, unlike the 3rd year, birthday courses have reset so you can get dia from completing the missions so it is worth it to go just for that. The birthday gig this year is to create a flower arrangement which will give you a voice file. No dia, so if you don’t care about the voice file and for whatever reason you cannot grind the birthday course, just get the dia from the course missions and focus back on the event. (Usually if it is a Sunday or you are trying to conserve AP for high ranking, it may be inefficient to waste AP on birthday grinding)
- SAVE THE CYALUMES
- These things are precious. They only work once for one course. Basically, for each turn, a live will appear. This can make your grinding efficient. HOWEVER, it is hard to get cyalumes. You only get them once every event, (and sometimes from special log-in bonuses). The only other option is to get them from buying diamonds. SO ONLY USE THEM IF THIS IS AN EVENT THAT YOU ARE RANKING FOR.
RANKING:
It is daunting, but it is actually possible to rank for a 5* card. You can rank for a 4* card if you are strong enough to casually get the points 5* since the cut off is USUALLY a little over 1 million. 2 million in really intense events.
You want to rank for a card, but you are scared you might spend too much, only to fall short?
- 5* rankings vary greatly, but they are still doable, even if you are free to play. Most of the time you will still need to use some saved up diamonds, but if you are strong enough, this is possible without even having to use diamonds if you just want one copy.
- Tier 1 (4 5*s)
- Tier 2 (Maxed 4*)
- Tier 3 (3 5*s)
- Tier 4 (2 5*s)
- Tier 5 (1 5*)
- In Tier 5, expect around 2.5 – 3 million points for chill to average events (Though sometimes it can be as low as 2.1M), all the way up to around 3.5-5 million points for the hardcore events. So far, you should watch out for Rei and Knights. Those are the characters that have been notorious for being around the 5 million mark. Others that are high on their tail are the rest of Undead (excluding Adonis), Valkyrie and Chiaki. These guys can range around 3.5 million or over for T5 alone. (However, these would depend on the characters they accompany as 4/5*s. For example, knights characters alone are above average, but Knights together is hell. However, Rei alone raises borders no matter the circumstance. Sorry ReiPs…)
- *Note: Tier 5 Cut-offs are at 11,000 people
- If you want to tier 1, expect 5M for chill events all the way up to 11M for the extremes. (I’m looking at you, Knights and Rei)
- *Note: Tier 1 Cut-offs are at 2,000 people
- If you want to get about 5.5M points (as that is where you can get a guaranteed copy of the rank 5*), then there’s no getting around the need to use diamonds. However, if you are able to 2LP Rare Lives and 3LP Emergency Lives, then you can get to 3.5M to T5 for low events with only your saved items.
- If you are free-to-play, it is a better idea to save your diamonds for ranking instead of for scouting.
- 2 LP RARE LIVES
- If you can 2 LP Rare Lives, this will make your life a whole lot easier, and cheaper. Without being able to do this, expect to spend a lot of diamonds in order to rank. You can opt to get some featured cards from the event scout for a boost.
- base 5* +100% stats, +4% points
- base 4* +100% stats, +2% points
- base 3* + 100% stats
- Note that you don’t need to get the 4* or 5*. A fully maxed 3* will be stronger than 1 5*. For every additional copy of a card, you get +50% bonus.
- If you get all the 4-5 cards from the scout, it activates a unit skill when placed together in the team.
- RECOMMENDATION: 2 LP Rare Lives, and 3 LP Emergency Lives
- When using natural LP refills, you can do a rare live with at most 8 minutes left before having 5/5 LP. This way, you can use 2 LP for the Rare Live, and then if an emergency live pops up, then you can wait until your LP refills to 3 in order to beat the live. If an emergency live doesn’t show up, don’t look for another live. Wait again until your LP is almost full. Rinse; Repeat.
- When to use Items and Dia
LP Refilling
- Whenever you use a bottle, it adds 5 LP before deducting the LP needed for the Live. This will reset your timer, so in order to use it efficiently without wasting your natural LP refresh time, use a bottle only after an LP has just refilled. This way, you waste nothing but a few seconds.
- T5: This is easier to do than you might think if the event isn’t insane.
- Use up your saved items from 2 events. Ideally, this should be enough and you won’t need to use dia at all.
- You do not need to reserve LP items for Sundays. You can use as much resources as you want as long as you time the bottles for right after you refill an LP. Using a bottle resets the timer, so try not to waste the refill time. As long as you gain enough points every day, there’s no need to alot bottles just for the rush. It is actually more efficient to use them beforehand, but if you gain enough points, it is best not to use bottles unnecessarily and save them for when something unexpected happens and you need them. Refilling LP only for rare lives can bring you to about 300,000 – 400,000 points every day. Sundays can bring 800,000 – 1,000,000 purely on bread) *This is with sleep, btw*
- It is possible not to use dia for ranking T5 if your teams are strong enough. If you are not strong enough and are not safe after using all your items, then save dia usage until the Rush. However, if the ranking difficulty is high, like for a Knights/Undead event, you may need to adapt T1 strategies.
- 5.5M: This is for the “pity” copy of the rank card and with this, you don’t need to worry about borders.
- Just use your items first, before you use your dia. It will also be worth it to use the items you get from the current event. You want to use your bottles only right after refilling at least 1 LP since the timer resets when you use a bottle, and you don’t want to waste your natural LP refills.
- Since you aren’t chasing any borders, just use enough resources to get you to a daily quota of 500k a day. There’s no need to rush to 5.5 as early as you can.
- The more you grind on Sunday/s, the more dia you can save. But on average, with a team that can 2LP rare lives and 3LP emergency lives, only about 300 dia (more or less) is necessary. with 4LP emergency lives, you may need about 600 dia.
- T1: How you save items and dia for T1 will vary depending again on the ranking difficulty.
- Old Average Difficulty (5-6M): This strategy can be applied for less popular events, and extreme T5 events.
- If you are strong enough, then only a few dia is necessary. Grind with consumables first. Then use your dia after.
- If you aren’t strong, then use your saved up dia only for emergency lives.
- Watch the Rush. People will mostly stop or slow down after 5,501,000 because that is when you get a copy of the rank card, but that does not make you safe. The last hour of the rush is the most intense.
- New Average Difficulty (6.5-8M): Okay, this is a little difficult, but you can still do this F2P if you have around 600 dias saved up.
- Use your items first. You want to use your bottles only right after refilling at least 1 LP. Therefore, the fastest rate you can dump your items is a bottle every 30 minutes. If you run out of konpeito, then it is okay to substitute it for dia when you only need 1 or 2 LP. Once you run out of consumables, go ahead and dump your dia until you reach your daily quota. Throughout the day, you would want to get over 600K points daily. On Sundays, you would want 1M points or more. Use dias during the duration of the event only for emergency lives. As much as possible, if you can get to your quota in the day without using dia, that is best. You can save your dia for the rush on the last day.
- You can actually be safe for the rush if you get more points earlier, which is a lot better than testing your luck on the rush. The last day will go up about 1M points or so.
- Insane Difficulty (9-11M): Face it, you need to be a whale to T1 in these events (Or you have just saved that much dia). I highly suggest you don’t rank during these events, but… Okay.
- You need to grind around 1M points every day. That requires that you spend around 1,800 diamonds or more over all and all of your saved up items, even if you are strong. You get a lot of items from ranking, so going through that many pages of items will help (9 bottles and 6 konpeito per page and you would reach page 5 for 11M). Without considering your natural LP or items, it takes about 200 dia to make 1M points, so keep that in mind when budgeting.
- In order to find enough lives, you have to only use the 10AP event course. No management. This time, your AP determines just how points you can make in a day. (And honestly, you will need all of it to reach 1M a day during the first half) It gets easier with the second challenger, which you also have to do.
- Instead of using all your saved items first, you need speed. Use your konpeito then dia for most situations unless your LP is very close to refilling (maybe 5 minutes or less). Then you can wait for 1 LP to refill before using a bottle. This way, you prioritize the speed you need to stay within the ranking from the start, and you can spread out your bottle usage. Grind as much as you can before the rush starts. You don’t want to be fence-sitting during the rush. Cyalumes are all for the rush.
- Expect the border to go up 2M-3M points on the last day. And anticipate the rush to start earlier than usual. Maybe the last 3 hours instead of 2.
- JIGOKU (16M): You need to whale to T1 this, honestly. This is because cyalumes play a bit part in getting the required number of points, not just dia.
- Back out now. Just stay in T3 or 5.5M if you just want one copy of the card. It isn’t worth the money you need to spend.
- You need to prepare yourself with A LOT of cyalumes. Even I don’t know how much cyalumes you would need. For dia, you will probably need around 2k dia or more, depending on how much you can grind on Sundays and how much sleep and time you are prepared to waste.
- Even for whales, this takes A LOT OF EFFORT since you will need to do only 10 AP courses combined with cyalumes every now and then. You will also need to do all the rare lives to make it efficient.
- Same as with the insane difficulty, you can use dia right ahead and only wait and use bottles if you are close to having an LP refill.
- Sunday is your best shot to save dia and get ahead. If you can, you can sell you health to this game and grind for 24 hours for about 2M points. On Sunday, if you get a live and have no LP, use items or dia. Don’t waste the potential to find lives. You can wait for the rank up if you are only one course away from ranking up.
- Get as far ahead as you possibly can. You probably won’t be able to handle the rush if you are close to the border. Expect a 4M leap (or more) in points on the last day or more. You can also expect that rush will start earlier. Possibly including the last 4 hours of the event instead of 2.
- REQUIEM (24M): Don’t. Just…. Don’t.
- I swear, this is the biggest waste of money…. You’d need around or over 5000 dia. This is just…. no.
- Constant cyalume dumping everyday as if it was the rush. Sunday almost doesn’t matter as you will use resources on Sunday too.
- Do not underestimate the rush, but honestly every day is already a rush so there’s not much of a difference, but the leap is still insane.
- Old Average Difficulty (5-6M): This strategy can be applied for less popular events, and extreme T5 events.
AP Refilling
- SAVE AP ITEMS FOR SUNDAY. Don’t use your AP items on regular days, instead, use them to grind the whole day on Sunday, non-stop.
- If you are going to T1 for insane to hell difficulty ranks, you may need to use bread during the first half just to make enough points. Also save 1 or 2 pieces of bread for the last day and rush.
Cyalumes
- CYALUMES ARE FOR THE RUSH. You have 2 options: you can save all your cyalumes for the rush, or split it between Sunday and the rush. (This is only if you are planning to fully grind Sunday)
- Cyalumes only increase the appearance rate of lives. (A live will appear every turn) They don’t increase the rate of the lives being rare lives. This means that it does not matter which course you do. If you use the cyalumes on Sunday, I highly recommend using it on the Sunday course right after leveling up instead of doing the event course (but only if you have a lot of cyalume to spare for a Sunday if Sunday is not the last day). If not, save them all for the rush, most especially the last hour.
- GRIND ON SUNDAY
- Save your yakisoba pan and/or bentos for this day
- Before Sunday hits, try to save up two 8HR managements. Then keep them there while you grind Sunday. On some occasions you can get an emergency live, but you won’t have enough LP and you are far from the next rank up. You can claim the exp from your management as a lifeline. BUT DO NOT PUT IN MANAGEMENT DURING SUNDAY ITSELF!
- Nat LP will not exist for you on this day, just keep spamming the Sunday course without waiting for your LP to refill. You want to prioritize speed. That means you also shouldn’t try to grind star medals by constantly switching rooms since that will only slow you down. The 15 minutes you take in waiting for 1 LP to refill could have been 15 minutes to rank up to refill 5 LP. If you don’t have enough AP to do the sunday course, just use the bread without waiting for AP to refill.
- Do not care about picking up star medals from the pets. Just keep tapping one room and that should save you time. Luckily Daikichi will follow you so he’s at least a sure win.
- You want to be ranking up every 15 minutes or less to be truly efficient. You may be using up to 12 yakisoba breads or so for this.
- Make a producing team with collab characters. These cards do not activate any mini events, so it saves you time. If you do not have enough, go ahead and put Yuzuru in your team. He is the Sunday guest character and will cancel out your card, leaving you with one less boy to worry about activating mini events.
- The room you choose will always have someone in it on the next turn, so technically you can mindlessly tap one room to speed through the course. (And hope no one activates). I do suggest you tap the far left room so that if a live comes up, you don’t accidentally click the button that will reject the live.
- Make sure that before you level up:
- Your LP is not overflowing
- If you are not getting enough lives from the sunday course, only do the event course before ranking up. After all, since the refill timer will be useless, it is okay to let your LP sit while you grind.
- Do not deplete all your LP! Depending on how much LP you need to complete an emergency live, don’t do the rare live if you won’t have enough for an emergency live after. Save it and only do that live once you are 2 or 3 courses from ranking up. This way, you can rank up before the 10 minute timer runs out should an emergency live pop up. You can do this unless you are using resources while Sunday grinding for really hard events. If that is the case, then just do every live that comes to you on a sunday course. No need to wait for the timer to reset to use your bottles either. Again, the time will not matter for rank sunday grinding.
- You do not need to use too many LP resources on this day, if any at all. If you are ranking for T1, depending on how difficult it is to rank, you can determine when you want to spend your items/dia on this day. Though typically you can grind 1M points or over on bread alone during Sunday.
- MAX MOST OF YOUR LIVES
- The rush requires you to be quick to earn points. Meaning you need to find lives quick, and gain more points at a time. The second challenger is good for this.
- 4LP Emergency Lives: 1 initial rare live, then the second challenger
- 3LP Emergency Lives: Both initial rare lives
- Insane difficulty: Do all three rare lives
- WHAT TO DO WHEN THERE ARE ADDITIONAL LIVES
- Sometimes, there can be three rare/normal lives right off the bat, or sometimes there can be two emergency lives. This can prove to be a hassle and a waste of resources so depending on the rank difficulty, here is what you do:
- For additional rare/normal lives, continue to only do two of them. The exception is if you are going for Jigoku or Requiem type crazy events where you want to do all lives.
- For double emergency lives, do both. It is a pain, but do both.
- Sometimes, there can be three rare/normal lives right off the bat, or sometimes there can be two emergency lives. This can prove to be a hassle and a waste of resources so depending on the rank difficulty, here is what you do:
- THE RUSH
- The rush refers to the last 2 hours of the event starting 8 PM JST until 10 PM JST. This is when people dump their resources to make the cut. Do not underestimate this phase, most especially the last hour. You can expect that on the last day, the borders will rise by at least 1M for T1, and 700k-1.1M for T5.
- If you are on the edge of the predicted end border, you will need to grind the rush to make it safe. And if the event is an insanely difficult one…. Just grind it all out, non-stop. Use your cyalumes to keep getting lives for less AP. Then, keep doing lives even if you don’t have LP. Don’t wait for LP to refill, just keep going. Use your items first, then your dia. GO GO GO. And NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE RUSH. People will grind as much as you for your spot. If you think you are safe, unless you are a whale, YOU ARE NOT.
- Tip: If you want to feel a little safer, grind more on the last day itself instead of just the last 2 hours. As long as you leave some items and dia for the actual last two hours itself. This works best if you have a live that is more worth your LP (like if you cannot 2 LP rare lives, but you can 3 LP the second challenger, you would rather look for the second challenger lives). Looking for specific lives during the rush is difficult, so do it during the day.
- Claiming your rank prizes
- The results of the ranking as well as the claiming of prizes are available an hour after the events ends, which is 11 PM JST.
REVIVAL EVENTS
I’m making a special section on how to do this because it is a special case compared to regular events, so let’s get started.
BASICS:
Let’s say you missed a card from an event that you REALLY want:
Obviously the event is over and event cards cannot be obtain via gacha. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t get them. 😉 *wink wink*
BEHOLD! Revival Events! They allow your to “revive” a past event with the opportunity to obtain the prizes available from the first event, including the rank cards! Sounds good? Alright, well there are still some things you need to know about revival events that are different from normal events:
- Only revival events from 6 months before and earlier are available to play. They add new revivals after the end of every normal event.
- You play revivals during the rest periods between normal events. The entire revival period lasts for 15 days instead of the regular events. You play revivals three days at a time during the rest periods. (Therefore, the entire 15 days of the revival will take 2 ½ months to complete)
- It always happens on the same days of the month. Starts on 11 at 3 PM JST. Ends at 14 at 3 PM JST. And then on 26 at 3PM JST and ends at 29 at 3PM JST. (This is so that you have the whole 72 hours)
- If you finish early, you can quit the event any time and take a new one if you want.
- You cannot join Dreamfes and Revivals at the same time. If you have a revival ongoing and you register for dreamfes, the game puts your revival on hold and then just extends the revival period according to the days you’ve missed. You don’t lose days from doing dreamfes during revivals, but of course it will take you longer to finish your revivals.
- Reviving events come at a cost.
- You need to pay an “entrance fee” of 15 dias to unlock the event for the 15 day period. (*Note that points during the period stay within the period. If you start up the revival, you always start at 0, regardless of whether you were in the event before or had already done the revival event before.)
- The 15 dia is easy to get back. All four event courses are open from the start (but the second challenger is still locked). If you get the dia from all 4 courses, that is already 24 dia.
- On this note, some people just do revival events with long stories to get the dia instead of going for the 4-5* cards.

- YOU ONLY GET ONE COPY PER CARD
- Cards also do not drop from lives
- You need to pay an “entrance fee” of 15 dias to unlock the event for the 15 day period. (*Note that points during the period stay within the period. If you start up the revival, you always start at 0, regardless of whether you were in the event before or had already done the revival event before.)
- The points 4* will be obtainable at 990,000 points instead of 660,000 points. (with the exception of events with multiple points 4*s)
- The points 5* will be obtainable at 1,700,000 points instead of 1,100,000 points. (with the exception of events with multiple points 5*s)
- There is no more ranking system. Rank cards become points rewards, but the points needed will depend on the Tier 5 ranking cut-offs from when the actual event happened. Take those cut-off points x2 and that’s how much points you need.
- Because you only get one copy and the amount of points needed for one card is so huge, it is entirely NOT RECOMMENDED to get ranking cards from revival events. For the same money you spend to get one copy of this card, you could be going Tier 1 in a current event! So, I’m sorry about the loss, but the smartest course of action is to let these go….
- There is also only one page of prizes.
SHOULD YOU DO A REVIVAL:
- First off, and i forgot to include this in the initial phases of this guide, but you HAVE TO UNLOCK THE 3B COURSE. It is the last course you unlock in the normal courses and gives 600exp, which is the closest you can get to the 800 exp sunday courses. Like grinding Sunday, you want speed, so you want to get as much exp as you can as quickly as possible.
- Be at least RANK 100. Once you reach rank 100, you will be able to hold 200AP which is optimal for grinding.
- I highly recommend revivals to anyone with dedication and at least 250K teams to start a revival right away for a points 5* card. The earlier the better since you may have a lot of revivals you want to do. You get stronger over time anyway.
- However, for the sake of efficiency, I recommend having at least one team that can play Maxed Rare Lives with only 2 LP. With this, you can get a points 5* in less than 3 periods without Sundays. You don’t want to be using dia or items on your revival events for the points 5*. It’s just not worth it. If you aren’t strong enough, hold off on your favorite ones. Join some dreamfes too. If you can only 3LP rare lives, it is absolutely fine (and if you have a lot of cards you want from revivals, I suggest starting as soon as possible) but it may take you longer to reach the points 5* compared to my recommendations.
- Revival events take a lot of time. If you are going after a card just because it is strong or because you want a card of your best boy, it might be more efficient to just wait for your boy to appear as a card in a current event.
- Tip: Pick events with points cards that you can’t live without. I also suggest considering the events that have more than 1 points 5*. (Circus, Duel, Rabbits Tanabata, Pirates have 2. Kiseki Winter Live has 3)
- Do you have any commitment issues? Are you okay to be grinding everyday? These will happen after events. You may already be tired, so be warned.
HOW TO PLAY:
- Go to your map. Click the Stopwatch icon on the top left of the screen to see the revival events available. This menu can be viewed any time, even when it is not a revival period.
- You can click the banner of the revival you want. They are segregated by the years of when they were released. You can click on the tab at the top to change the year.
- You can view the cards that are available, and you can check the bonuses by clicking the white button at the bottom left.
- “Check the bonuses” will let you view the points rewards as well as “special rewards” which were once the ranking rewards. Once it hits 3 PM, the gold button with the dia you see will become clickable. Clicking this means that you agree to open up that revival for the price of 15 dia.
- This is your revival event page. It looks a little different from the normal event interface, so I labelled where everything is.
- Once you start a revival, it will appear on your room banners for easy access. You can still always access it from the revival menu even when it is not a revival period.
THE GAME PLAN:
Say you want to get to 1.7M points. You can. And it is really easy to do without the use of items and still in under 10 days. As long as you can 2 LP Rare Lives, then here is what you need to know.
- START AT 3PM JST
- The game will not compensate you for starting later in the day. Any time you waste after 3PM will not be given back. This is important if you desperately need the full 15 days.
- If you start a revival mid-period, then wait for 3PM JST on that day. Say you start at 2PM JST, that counts that day to your revival period. Basically, you only play for 1 hour that “day” but the game still takes it as you using up a whole day. So if you decide to end a revival you finished on the first day, you should start the next revival the day after at 3PM JST, so that you get the full day.
- If you start on the second or third day of the period, don’t worry. The game counts the time by days and not by periods. They will still give you 15 days and you can check this on your calendar
- EVERYDAY IS A SUNDAY
- That’s right. Revivals take place during rest periods. And during rest periods, courses (aside from the event course) cost HALF THE AP. That’s the same as what happens on a Sunday wherein the Sunday course gives you 2x EXP. Now what more if it is a Sunday during your revival event? Well, you can grind endlessly, basically.
- Just play each day like it was a Sunday. Constant grinding as much as possible, but you don’t need to use your yakisoba bread and you are free to grind star medals to your heart’s content.
- You can grind either the Sunday course or Class 3-B for Exp, and then only do the event course after you rank up to find Lives quickly. You can get the dias during this time instead.
- INFINITE GRIND SUNDAY
- When a Sunday falls on a revival period, you can grind it infinitely without the use of bread. This is because the AP cost is halved and it still gives 2x EXP, so that means it gives 4x the EXP for the AP used.
- I also suggest you don’t grind the star medals on this day as if you were ranking to make the grind time efficient.
- On this day, you will find that you will have too much AP without a place to spend it. So how do you get the most out of your unlimited AP? Use 1hr managements. Yes, you shouldn’t do this on normal event Sundays when AP is precious, but on revival Sundays, you want an avenue to dump your excess AP. So why 1hr when you can do the 8hr one? Well, 1hr costs 20AP but 8hr costs only 60AP. If you do the 1HR 8 times, then you can use up 160 AP and get 1,600 exp instead of using 60AP and only getting 600exp. This way, you get more out of your AP, and you can retrieve it more frequently.
- DON’T USE DIA OR ITEMS
- If you are going for the points 5*, then there is no need for resource usage.
- Item usage will only be necessary for the ranking cards, for which you can refer to the ranking portion of this revival section for such.
- If you want to make revivals quick and you have the time to grind, then you can use expiring bread and really shorten the time it takes to get the points 5*. With enough bread and a team that can at least 2LP the rare lives, then you ca get the 5* in one period.
- Aim for 600,000 points every revival period
- that’s 200,000 a day which is very doable thanks to the grind as long as you have the minimum strength I have required you.
- That will get you to 1,800,000 points in just 9 days (3 periods). No items, no dia.
- Start a revival on the second half of the month
- This way, you can finish in 3 periods. Just in time for dreamfes the next period. And then you can start another revival after that again. This is the most efficient way to balance your revivals and dreamfes.
- DON’T TAKE OUT YOUR PRIZE ITEMS
- It is better to save the items you get here, for your event stash. Don’t take them out of prizes box (as they can stay there for the entire duration of the revival which spans for a lot of normal events). You can always access your prizes even outside of the revival period through the revival menu and you can take the items out for a current event you need them for.
- Your card bonuses count
- The cards that are boosted during revival periods are those that are currently boosted. That means that you don’t need the cards that came out before which corresponds to the revival you are playing. If you happen to have the event gacha cards from the event that just finished, it will still be boosted during your revival period. (but only that period)
- I do not recommend trying to gacha for cards for the revival, because they only boost per period.
That’s basically it. Other than that, it’s like a regular event!
“RANKING”:
Technically you aren’t ranking, but you still need a TON of points. However, it is still possible to do without needing dia…. Depending on what cards you want.
- Choose your Revival Event Wisely
- I say depending on the card. If you want to do it for free, then choose an event where the ranking card is not more than 8.5M points. Anything above that, then you will need to sacrifice the items you are saving to rank in other events, and a lot of time. However, you can still do it dialess.
- Choose periods with Sundays
- There’s a possibility to have 4/5 of your periods have a Sunday in it. By choosing a period that has a Sunday, and then take the opportunity to join Dreamfes when you know that your period does not have a Sunday. However, this will add a whole month to your revival. You can opt to just start with a period with Sundays if you are aiming for a card under 8M. If you need to get 11M, then doing this will lessen the need to sacrifice the items you are saving for current event ranking.
- Dont forget to do the 1HR managements during revival Sundays! (Just to use some extra AP)
- 2 LP Rare Lives / 3 LP Emergency Lives
- That’s right. If you want to do this without spending, you need to be strong. Once you are, you can implement the strategy of getting your LP to 5 before trying a rare live. In any other situation when an emergency live occurs, you can use bottles. (Getting that many points will give you a lot of items, so it is fine)
- USE EXPIRING ITEMS (for insane revival events)
- If you are strong enough as stated above, then you do not need to use items to get points 5*s in normal events. So, instead of using your expiring items on the current event, you can opt to use them in your revival instead.
- If you are going for the 11M, you will definitely have to spare more items (maybe even dia if you want to spare yourself some sanity, but it is still possible without dia)
- SAVE YOUR REVIVAL ITEMS
- Use your expiring items instead of taking your prizes from the revival. Why?
- Let’s say you happen to use all your items for ranking in the last event…. SIGN UP FOR DREAM FES INSTEAD. If there is no dreamfes? Well… That’s where your saved up revival items will be put to good use!
- YAKISOBA BREAD (But not on Sunday)
- That sounds reversed from normal events, I know. But on Sunday, you can grind unlimitedly. There’s no need for bread. However, every other day is like a Sunday! Grind it out!
- Get 1.7M points per period
- That sounds ridiculous, but remember that everyday is like a Sunday. Without using Items, you can get half these points in a period. But, with the combination of grind ranking with yakisoba bread and emergency rations for emergency lives, this is doable.
- If you are trying to get cards at 11M points, then you need to be getting over 700K per day. That is 2.1M every period. This is still doable, but you will need to sacrifice more bread and more items.
- Be diligent and be patient
- You will be grinding everyday, for normal events, and then for revival events. It will get tiring, and you will only get one copy of that ranking card after over 2 months of hard work. Make sure you are willing to make that sacrifice… I want you to have a life outside of 2D boys…
